I must admit that my knowledge of Dabo is very limited, but from my recollection, he seemed like a decent guy. I remember when SU upset them in the Dome in 2017, he made it a point to go over to SU's locker room to congratulate them on the win and commending them on their play.
RE: The NCAA, where covering up sexual assault to protect the program... Â
Not in the lines of a scumbag like Urban Meyer.... but he is a grade 1 asshole.
Where is this coming from? Dabo seems to be one of the few "good" guys in college football. I'm pretty sure that is one of the reasona he has been so succesful in the recruiting game.
It comes from dep being a fan of a team with a legit grade A asshole Â
He has done an incredible job at Clemson. Kirk Herbstreit, who is closer to college football than anyone has his kids going to play for him. He said it is the best college environment for players he has seen.
I just hope my life doesn’t get too bad where I become as miserable as you on a daily basis. I honestly wish better for you. No one should be this miserable.
No cream cheese with bagels ? That’s it boycott the ncaa.
Haven’t read si in years have they got that bad? If you scroll down the confetti story there’s a write up how cousins doesn’t like his new centers sweaty ass
He seems like a exceptional leader and I think he would do quite well at the NFL level. I agree, a lot for him to give up but he is young and may want that challenge.
That's the kind of projection movie theaters pay big money for Â

Based on what?
I recently read where he didn't give a kid a championship ring - don't have all the details - but what else to lead you to such a strong view...
Well he did screw Kelly Bryant - even though Kelly left the team. I felt like he used him when he knew the whole time Lawrence was going to be the guy. He could have let Bryant leave on his accord before the season started.
Some recruiting stories Ive heard. He lied to a kid I taught (this was before they became a powerhouse), the whole punter incident and defending it during the ACC championship a few years ago (kid deserved to be yelled at, but not to that extent.)
RE: RE: Off topic, but as someone who has followed college Â
everyone is discounting the impact confetti can have on the mind on a teenage boy. It can be very disorienting, especially the new-fangled shiny stuff that can retract light into their eyes. This might lead these athletes to make rash decisions. Have you ever seen people act all crazy at a celebratory parade? I'll bet the confetti plays a big role in that behavior.

Lawrence would have been a top five pick in the NFL draft out of HS. He's that talented. Bryant didn't get screwed. He had an opportunity to keep the job (let's be honest, he wasn't great in 2017) and Lawrence was just considerably better. The results speak for themselves, right? Frankly, I don't know what sane coach wouldn't have played Lawrence right away...
As for the other examples, I can't comment on your student. And I didn't think the punter situation was a big deal. The again, I'm in my late 40s, so I lean very old school vs. this new era of snowflake management...

No I agree with you and Lawrence. He should have been given the job out of spring so Bryant could do best for him. Everyone knew Lawrence was getting the job.
since my daughter goes to Clemson and my Son likely will too, but I've heard nothing but good things about Dabo.
Even from opposing fans.
I don't think any DI coach is going to be a choir boy, but you at least hear whispers about people being dicks. I've never heard such things about Dabo.
my "middle of nowhere" town. (I find the lakes, waterfalls, and truly nice people very pleasant; but to each his own).
I've met Dabo, and the sports pages in the area (e.g. Greenville - another pleasant middle of nowhere city - cover the team 7 days a week. Current and former players are united in praise for the coach and the wholesome climate he has created.
I'm not questioning your opinion; jus' sayin' that if you are going to throw out a derogatory remark like that you may want to accompany that with some facts.
Out here, in the "middle of nowhere" (JC Calhouns summer plantation), your remarks might be taken as "fightin' words".
Unfortunately, you should get ready for the likelihood of the same outcome this year. Apparently the Clemson staff feels very good about replacing that D line.

That’s all well and nice and I’m glad you like it. But Clemson ain’t in the city. Greenville is barely a city.

actually wanted to go to VT or NC State first, but the in-state tuition and her SC scholarships really made it financially tough to go out of state.
My daughter had VT in the mix last year. But decided against it because my wife went there. And she didn't want to go to NC St because my wife's father went there...
They are as incompetent as any organization you can think of...
But using confetti in the wrong fucking location on campus is a violation.

OK with phony classes, too

Dabo's "aw, shucks" persona gets a bit cloying, but I think he's a good guy for a major college football coach.

Try not to think. It will cloud you being miserable.
I am more shocked the NFL has not gone after him.

Kind of raises questions about their recruiting. They're basically an NFL team.
Based on what?

They’re are likely going to end up with all five of the top five recruits this year too
Yeah, you're not going to get a lot of sympathy on this one.

Fuck Clemson.

Certainly not expecting for and did not ask for any.
I think it's obvious why I don't like them...
I wasn't being that serious, anyway. They're just Bama's kryptonite right now. So, like I said... fuck Clemson.

Maybe....but the best defensive player in the ACC plays his home games in Cville.

She told us last week that she's really glad she went to Clemson. She loves it and I can already see how she's growing up.
And it really didn't suck to go and see a few games lat year!
My daughter had VT in the mix last year. But decided against it because my wife went there. And she didn't want to go to NC St because my wife's father went there...
All reasonable conclusions, right? ;)

Definitely first round material.
Couldn’t be any more wrong about this coach but that seems to be this poster’s calling card...hate everybody and call them names
