Let me say that again, FOOTBALL IS BACK! Great to see all the QBs play well. WRs played well. Some impressive plays on defense and most importantly I don't recall any major injuries on either side. I'll have to rewatch the game a bit more. Excited for a potential Sy'56 review.
seen. Especially for the first game. Both teams played pretty well I thought and there were some really good plays made. I remember in years back when the games were unwatchable, especially from the Giants.
From a fan sitting in the corner of the endzone, basically right on the field. Cool to see the play develop and the accuracy of Jones from this angle. Check it out. Link - ( New Window )
Glad they Put Eli in first that way the line had a chance
to get the feel of the game When Jones came it it looked
like a different O-line they basically put a wall in
front of Jones who ran the offense with precision .
So a Good Start for Jones and quieted the nay Sayers for
now . all the draft picks got there feet wet and not much
to complain about . Connely had a nice game as did Ballentine
kid picked up where he left off in practice we may have
a gem with him . Pass rush was non-existant but we know
its gonna be a team effort .
It was an A+ performance . Kyle Lauletta had an excellent
game .

Good stuff thanks
Classic fan reaction in there too, reacting to the open TE in the flat, then the actual TD to the WR
"TD...look at that, it's wide open! NO NO NO NOOOO! TOUCHDOWN!"
I never liked the trend to just absolutely disregard everything about preseason, good or bad. We saw poor displays of football in the last few preseasons that indeed wound up being indicative of the how the team played football. Maybe -- hopefully -- this is indicative of bonafide roster and playcalling improvement.
My seats are in the section, I was there. You could really see the play develop, made a great throw. Fowler was well covered, but DJ delivered where only he could catch it. A great throw.

Lauletta get some playing time with the 2nd stringers rather than the 3rd stringers. Kid was perhaps the most impressive from my second half observations, made some excellent throws and that play he opened the inside route by fooling the DB with his hips was a thing of beauty.
Ballentine looked great too, looks like he belongs. I mentioned it in the game thread but bares repeating. It is noticeable how much better our depth is getting on this team, we are heading in the right direction. After nearly. Decade if bad drafts wheee we got nothing from mid round picks, these guys are all contributing positively. It’s refreshing to see.
RE: RE: Unfortunately I was busy and missed the first 36 minutes Â
Literally turned it on as they were leaving the field...
So I missed DJ's drive.
From the highlights, it'a a good start! Very happy to see it.
He's been passing all the quizzes along the way. Which is a very good thing. But he still needs to ace the final... Keeping my fingers crossed.

A clear positive I see from the Jones video is the OL. Jones was barely pressured at all. On the throw to Latimer he had over 4 seconds, and the TD throw he had over 3.
That's unheard of in recent Giants history. Lets hope that OL play translates to the real games.
Some rough spots in terms of assignments early but that is to be expected.
0.0 QB rating tonight. Completed as many passes to the Giants as he did to the Jets.
He must have been confused.
Pass blocking was good, even by second/third team. Run blocking wasn't.
Pass rush wasn't good.
A lot of positives from the young guys.

To be fair to Webb, those were superb INTs.
.
He ran the wrong route...Dep please confirm.
Not worried... yet
Did not understand the 3rd down play.
LOL!
Thread winner.
I's send Goodson packing. There are at least 4 ILB better than he is.

Don't they only have one cut day now?

Can't scheme everything. Beat your man.

Yeah, the Carlock one in particular almost shouldn't even count against Webb. What a play by him.

Sam Darnold: 1 series, 4-5, 68yds & a TD
It's madness!
