Should Jones have played more ?

I was glad they started Eli I felt like it gave the
offensive line get warmed up a bit before bringing in
Jones . When he did come in to me the feel of the game
changed the Offensive line was like a wall every time
he dropped back and he was picture perfect .
I just thought he would have played a bit more .
Or maybe they did not want to extend the starters
anymore than what they did .

gotten another series or two if not for the storm delay. Would have liked to see more but we'll definitely see more in the next couple games, and he might start the 4th game.

I would have liked to see a couple more series but I was fine with the way Shurmur and the coaching staff handled it.

from a prolonged break like that. I thought the HC made a great decision. Not sure why he played Taney so long though. i expect getting him ready to be #2 in the season.

No, not with a layover that long and all of the backup linemen.

There is plenty of time to get him reps in the following 3 games. He will play a lot.

If not for the delay, he would have played at least a couple more series. Shurmur made the right call.

tighten up and have rested for an extended period, there was no reason to force the issue.

3 more preseason games, as well as the most important stretch of practices coming up.

Daniel Jones coming back after the rain delay. It was the offensive line too. Shurmur was not going to put Jones out there with the 3rd string offensive tackles. He might have considered it if wheeler and mihalik were available.

Shurmur made the right call and Jones will get plenty of work in the remaining preseason games.

I m in the minority here, but I really like Tanney. I think he could be Jones backup next season

At this rate he will only play four quarters of preseason football. Game 1 - one series, Game 2 - likely one quarter, Game 3 (if Eli remains the starter) - maybe one quarter, Game 4 - maybe a half.

There's no reason why it has to be laid out like that.

If Shurmur thinks he should get more reps, he'll get more reps.

Agreed. I also do not want him playing with 3rd string lineman. Call me cautious, but 90% of them are not making the roster.

The chance of getting him hurt after a delay far outweighs the reps. He comes out of this game healthy and confident. The away full of excitement, what more do you want from game 1. Did you see the teams excitement, mission accomplished in one series.
