Video: Shurmur's Postgame Lockerroom speech; Jones postgame

Dave in Hoboken : 8/9/2019 5:34 pm
The Giants official Youtube page just posted videos of Shurmur's postgame speech to the lockerroom & video of Daniel Jones' postgame interview in the lockerroom. I didn't even know the Giants had an official Youtube channel until I just saw these two new videos come across my Youtube 'recommended' video list. Pretty cool.

Love how Shurmur mentioned that he liked how he saw the players on the sideline rooting for the players in the game. Made me immediately think of seeing Barkley & Engram congratulate Jones right after his TD pass. Gonna watch the Jones interview now, haven't watched it yet since it's 10 mins long and I wanted to post these here first.

Jones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRTsckAoh6E

Enjoy!
I like Shurmer's tone

Shurmer comes across as genuinely happy but still business-like. Love the tone when he says, "We got some things to clean up, but that'll happen"

Yeah, I poke a bit of fun at Shurmur from time to time but that's a great message and great delivery. When a leader can sincerely express that both making mistakes and correcting them are just a natural, inevitable part of the process, and do so without bravado... that's pretty powerful.

Absolutely. You no longer are terrified of making a mistake and are more relaxed to just play.
Yeah it's much more a "team" aspect

If he gets the talent and gets them to execute we won’t be talking about his fame management skills.
