the other big takeaway was Michael Thomas' scouting report on Davis Webb. As he was talking to Ballentine he said (paraphrasing)
"The QB they got in right now was with us last year, he's gonna let that MF'er fly. He don't care. He does not care, he's going to throw it. So you are going to get a chance for a pick"
Interesting takeaway from a veteran safety and lets you know what the players actually thought of his ability.
I love seeing these DB's making plays and the underrated WR's standing out.
You have to have some guys like Carlock on the team. They are the engine like Thielen for the Vikings...the unheralded guys like Victor Cruz.
Loved when Ballantine said this was his first NFL game ever and he was playing in it! I bet that is true for a lot of these guys who get drafted or come in as UDFA's.
This team is starting to be very easy to root for. Barkley and Engram were the first two guys to congratulate. The excitement they all showed for the guys low on the depth chart, etc. A very likable group.
Russell Shepard needs to make this team just for the sound-bites. Â

Nice to have Barkley & Peppers on each side of the ball. Vocal leadership covered.
Nice team getting built here.
Lot of guys were happy for Jones, Carlock, Shepard. Def a good vibe with this group so far
I may have misheard.
