Jabrill Peppers’ left wrist clearly bothering him after diving to try to break up a pass to Evan Engram. He’s remained on the field but keeps checking/shaking it.

I asked Division II underdog Jake Carlock about Division II underdog Corey Ballentine - both #Giants rookies balled out vs. Jets.
"I watch Corey and forget he's D2 - look at him play and you think he had to go to one of those FBS power schools." - Carlock
That's rare for someone in D1 for a rookie let alone D2. Someone asked this, how did he not get a D1 scholarship? I think I read he was a good student too, so unless he didn't take studies seriously in High School, it wasn't academic either.

— Manning threw a TON. Went 18-of-23 and hit several passes downfield, including one to Saquon Barkley (see next tweet). Eli completed first 10 passes. Best day of his summer.
— Came on a day all about 1st/2nd team. Alex Tanney + Kyle Lauletta ZERO team snaps

Few notes from today's practice:
-Eli was on fire. Hit a few deep balls, including a perfect strike to Barkley and another to Latimer. Apparently Shurmur wanted to make up for the lack of work on Thursday since Eli attempted 23 passes in team periods. 15 had been his high in camp

-Saquon had a big day as a receiver, catching the deep ball and a TD in the red zone on a seam route.
-Ryan Connelly stepped in for Alec Ogletree (calf) and had his hands full covering Saquon out of the backfield.
-Chad Slade worked as the first-team RT. Worth keeping an eye on.
