Reggie White Jr., WR

TC : 8/11/2019 9:15 pm
No talk about Reggie White, but I was interested in this kid based upon his highlights coming from football powerhouse (Their games look a lot like high school games!) Monmouth College. He's got some size, speed, hands and athletic ability.

Didn't and still don't know if he can stick in the NFL, but I was pleasantly impressed that he didn't look totally lost or embarrass himself in his first preseason game. Frankly, while his debut won't be confused with Plax, he looked better than I expected with 4 receptions, for 60 yards and a 15 yard average. And he showed some physicality and toughness, which I like a lot.

Don't know if he has a shot at the 53 with his background, but if not, he'd likely be an asset on the PS.

could buy him a longer look.
Reggie looked good in his limited time on field

Want to see more of him
He's got good size and speed and his hands are pretty good too.

He's not a good route runner yet, but we'll see how he develops with nfl coaching. nfl.com did a write-up on him which I linked below.

Possibly but Tate has to be on the initial 53 man roster before he goes to the suspended list and we can pick up another player, I think. I am not 100% sure but I think that is the case. If so, I could see a guy like White getting released at cutdowns and then resigned after.
Nice write=up

how a son of a massive DL guy was a WR, then I realized he isn't THAT Reggie White's son!

I believe as they are cutting to 53 they put Tate on the suspended list which keeps him on the roster but doesn't count him against the 53 until he comes off the suspension list after week 4.

Rules seems to always change and I can’t keep up, but this is what I remember too.

doesn't change your innate football talents, it may only reflect what others had perceived. (See Cruz, Victor)

However, going to a smaller school slows your development compared to your peers.

If a pro team spots those innate talents they have to realize that THEY have to provide that development.

Whether it is identifying Reggie as part of the 53 or risking him on the PS, he is clearly worth holding on to for the future.

Catch up! Monmouth has been Monmouth University for some time now.

Class of '71

Anyone remember watching Ron Kornegay play?

...some how "small school" got left out of the title of my post (I guess it was the use of quotes around the word "small". Sorry 'bout that.

No way he makes 53, no way.

Tate
Shepherd 1
Shepherd 2
TJ Jones
Slayton (speed potential)
Fowler

One extra due to suspension: Latimer

Latimer is probably the biggest lock behind Shepard and Tate right now.

both went to Monmouth, I dont see why he wouldnt be able to make an NFL roster coming from the lower D1 level.

Hell Andre Reed played a Kutztown, D2, he's in the Hall of Fame

If that is true, I don’t know why? How many passes has he caught in 5 NFL seasons?
Does it look to you that he gets decent enough separation to help the qb get it to him?
What makes him special?
Do you notice a great burst of speed coming off the line?

Compare with TJ Jones and you will see TJ is much better and plays ST.
