#Giants first-round cornerback Deandre Baker, who cut short his warmup after injuring his knee, did not tear his ACL after extensive testing, source said. Just a sprain. Some optimism.

Sigh of relief for the #Giants: An MRI confirmed CB DeAndre Baker has just a knee sprain, source said. First-round picks ACL is intact. Timetable still TBD, but the hope is its measured in weeks, at most.

First-round pick DeAndre Bakers knee checked out, per source. Its a sprain. No serious damage. Not expected to be a long-term thing. Good news for Giants and Baker. Hes out watching practice right now. Walking fine.
Go Giants!
Real shot for Beal to get some playing time. Hopefully he practices this week and get in 2nd game
Beat me to it ..
Between that and the non-national embarrassment that was our first preseason game/Daniel Jones' debut, I don't even know what team this is.

Injury Update: CB DeAndre Baker underwent further evaluation this morning by #NYGiants team physician Dr. Scott Rodeo at Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Rodeo confirmed a sprain to the left knee. Bakers status is day-to-day.
I like how the reporters are like 'it's just a sprain'. An ACL tear is 'just' a grade III sprain.

Baker's first Rodeo. Hopefully his last, too.
Not too long ago, any injury news out of the Giants usually meant an entire season gone, kaput.
Thank Goodness thats not what happened

Jones lent him his custom brace. Baker reportedly said, "I feel like a different guy!"

That would still be defined as a Grade I sprain. Anybody expect him to play this Friday? I wouldn't be surprised if they held him out until next week.
This is great news.
"Dome and groomers"? Doom and gloomers. There, that's better.

Get up and get out of bed in the morning? My God, what a bunch of dome and groomers. The overall negativity on this site is sometimes a bit much to take. Some of you guys can't even take 'good' news well.

Not if you're a barber.

Only if every injury report now is about someone's collar bone.

Is it fair to say that this is DeAndre's first Rodeo?

Yes, and it was fair when I said it an hour ago, Mr. Mencia.

No worries. Disregard my Carlos Mencia comment.
He felt something in his knee when he was warming up yesterday.
Theres no absolute timetable for soft tissue injuries.
It's whenever it heals enough to play football on.
