Continuing with the recent movie thread.
I'll start. Peter Jacksons King Kong. About 1 hour into the movie someone blurted out "Where the fuck is the monkey?"
I left at hour #3. If you can't finish a movie in under 3 hours, I'm gone. Plus that movie sucked.
After a few minutes of "Amy" I didn't see any way the movie could be salvaged.
the wives picked the movie.
after about 20 minutes of awful dialog and ridiculous plot I faked a stomach ailment and went to the lobby to play video games. Hung out there for about an hour.
then went back to my seat for 15-20 min and said "uh-oh, stomach issue again" and spent the rest of the evening playing video games and people watching.
Otherwise i rarely go to the movies.
i just caught it on cable, i couldnt finish it either
Walked out, movie across the hall was just filing in. Walked in, knowing nothing about DEAD CALM.
So, thank you, shitty Road House for getting me to watch Dead Calm!
Eraserhead. EPIC.
Big Lebowski. I don't understand. How could someone NOT love that? At least John Goodman!
Little Shop of Horrors - a classic, c'mon - FEED ME!
Rocky Horror? LOL, repressed sexual issues anyone?
Pulp Fiction??? Someone WALKED OUT of Pulp Fiction? It's in my top-3 all time. What is WRONG with you?!
:D
I could not handle that truth.
I am doomed to hell. I am not watching a film about that fact.
:)
Me too. I walked out. Still can't watch it.
Of course, they watched it 10,000x once it came out on video lol
If I ever had to see that movie in the movie theater I might have faked a heart attack like Doug Heffernan in King of Queens did because he forgot one of his wife's co-workers names.
I actually saw that in the theater, but didn't walk out. I was on a date and my date had chosen it, so no matter how putrid it was, I was compelled to sit there with her until the very end.
Fear Dot Com was the one time I did walk out. I would have walked out of Suspect Zero but I fell asleep during it.
I came very close to walking out on Action Park (thought it was going to be Jackass not an actual story)
I would have included this movie, but I was young when it came out and my friends bother worked as an usher at the theater so we got in free and really just want to hang out with the rest of the hoodlums outside the theater in the plaza.
but we did go in for the start of the movie and didn't last long, just an awful, awful movie.

seemed like a can't miss blend of sci-fi plot about time shifting. Tom Cruise doesn't make bad movies, right!? Yes he does... YES he does.
Wow. I love Edge of Tomorrow. It's one of those movies I get stuck re-watching every time it's on. One of us has bad taste. Probably me.
Very possibly. There are bad movies, we all have seen them, and then there is Leonard Part 6. It's almost like they couldn't make a movie that bad if they were trying to make a movie that bad. And it's not even in the category of so bad it's good like the previously mentioned Roadhouse. It's just awful.

I should have walked out on English Patient, but stuck it out as I thought it couldn't really be that bad.

Great episode of King Of Queens. Can't remember Carrie's coworkers name so he just collapses and fakes a heart attack! Brilliant
Didn't see it in the movies, but would agree it was atrocious. It was so bad I kept watching it thinking "something must happen to make this interesting!" It never did. It started off uninteresting and never deviated from that.
Between that and Suburbicon, I feel like Matt Damon owes me some money. Those movies are both abominations.
Jack and Jill would like to have a word with you.
Man, there are some strong contenders for that title, though. Jack and Jill, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Grown Ups....
Haha, completely different take for me. I loved it. One of his best movies, IMO.
Same, I don’t really see the point. The thought of someone hating a movie so much that they would get upset and leave is funny to me.
