Will Hernandez on Dexter Lawrence: “He gets the offensive line better (in practice), he’s getting the defensive line better. He’s going to be a problem for offenses.”
I'm really excited

To see this defensive line. I think they will be one of the most unheralded units of the defense. They will be doing the dirty work while the linebackers and secondary get the glory.

Hill, Tomlinson and Lawrence are all 6'3 and above and over 310 lbs. They will eat up space and occupy blockers.
I think our defense

has a chance to be pretty good. We'll definitely stop the run, and we can cover. If we can add an elite linebacker and edge rusher next year, we could have a top 10 defense easily.
Was Bavaro so good

Because he had to battle LT and Banks everyday in the summer?

At least on a psychological level there is something to it.
I have a feeling

the defense is going to have a lot of growing pains this year, just hope to see steady improvement as it goes on. But I really like the potential with some more pieces added in the next year or two. Lawrence is going to be a huge (figurative and literal) piece of the puzzle.

Bavaro himself credited a lot of his blocking ability to taking on LT, Banks, and others in practice so I'd say, Yes!

I feel the same way if DT can be a disrupt-er and free
up the edge rushers that will help Don't see much in
the pass rush .

I'd say more because he was a nasty MF that liked to hit. Playing against LT helped.
