Giants confirm torn ACL for Amba Etta-Tawo. He was injured during today’s practice.
Bad luck but I don't think he was making this roster

Jones was ahead of him as a WR and adds value as a returner.

Giants tweeted out it was his Achilles. Their press release says the same.
Honestly, it may be good for him - now he gets paid for the whole year

Year after year, injuries seem to hit in groupings. This is the third or fourth WR to go down. Three of our CBs are ailing.

The NFL is a tough business for these guys. The Giants need a little good luck with the WR injuries from here on out. I'm sure they'll be looking at the last cuts for claims but WR takes a while to get the timing and playbook. Not ideal.
Lot of WRs going down
Coach Red Beaulieu : 8/12/2019 6:00 pm : link
But still seem we have a lot of interesting pieces. There's likely going to be some tough cuts at WR.
He most likely wasn't making the squad
Simms11 : 8/12/2019 6:04 pm : link
anyway and theirs still plenty of young decent WRs on the roster. Not so sure they add another receiver. I might consider adding another OT however.
Not theirs, there's.....

FatMan, you are a BBI stalwart and I wouldn’t dare call you out. But I think you and I might differ on Ms. Traina. She’s a professional. Not a pot stirer by any stretch. In my opinion she’s nothing but fair and objective. Been reading her stuff for years and qualify her as a must follow.

Now Pat Leonard...that’s a usual suspect.

look - it is about being professional. The constant typos and just flat out wrong facts provided aren't a one-off thing.

She's has a job most of us would do for fun, yet it is tough to get through an article without an inaccuracy. The job is basically to communicate what's happening and factual inaccuracies should be very, very rare.

My friend, respectfully I just have to disagree when it comes to Traina. Is there an occasional typo, certainly. But I put her reporting up there with the best. I’d much rather read her tweets than most.

It’s kinda like BBI posts. I’d rather read a few from known quantities (such as yourself) than most.

I get it. She puts out good info at times. It is just hard for me to get past the typos and outright factual inaccuracies.

As a columnist myself, I am always embarrassed if a typo happens. I expect better from myself.

FMIC is completely correct on this, which is something Traina can't say. It's not occasional typos, it's fairly regular factual errors and constant grammatical and syntax errors on top of that.

The problem with Dez isn't the fork - at this point, we're not exactly getting Calvin Johnson in his prime. The problem is that he's both a lunatic and an egomaniac, and likely not aware of the fact that he's a fraction of his former self.
