I think he's saying that Elliott is one of the best players in the NFL, but that that is not an argument for him to get paid now, presumably because he's still under contract.

if you were the GM and coach, you would cut your talent 3rd round pick from a year ago because he had shoulder surgery last year and he pulled his hamstring this year. (BTW, he practiced all spring, but you seem to want to ignore that).

I guarantee if we get hit with injuries in the secondary during the season that same poster will be begging for Beal to be on the roster. He has tools and he's studied film like a pro. Let him get healthy and worked in in good time. You want him and not some multi team castoff at mid season.

No... OBJ didnt miss a entire year and then 4 games just the 4 games but good try.
honestly speaks to how lucky the team as a whole has been with the injury bug this spring. A few 2nd team guys, but no key starters hurt. Lets hope this maintains.
Beal was really impressing in spring practices by the way. Lets just be patient, we have a lot of intriguing athletes at CB where the loss isn't impacting the team too much.

He missed 16 out of 32 games, thats a whole season in 2 years
Oh, and i'm not being a dick to you, so keep your snarky comments to yourself
the one he is hurting right now is himself. He is falling behind but no way he is getting cut. I would say he will probably be back next week but it looks like Ballentine has already passed him so its up to him to show the skills. Beal was going to be a backup anyway and Ballentine has shined and taken the next man up spot so relax.
Thankfully CB is a place where we have some depth right now and we may have to cut / trade a very good player or 2. CB and a few other positions I am not worried about right now.
I am excited to hear Wheeler has fallen to 3rd on the depth chart. It may be a sign that we have improved quite a bit at swing tackle considering he was a starter last year and can't crack the top 2 this year.
I mean this in the nicest way possible. Please just stop. It is beyond annoying. We would like to see how practice is going not you bitch about Beal. You can't do anything about it. You don't have a solution to a problem. All you are doing is bitching. Start another thread and bitch there. Thanks.

At this point, you had no way of knowing that he would be back for game 5.
We also know that Beal will be back much sooner than that, given that he's steadily improving er Shurmer.
Also, OBJ missed games every season. And given Beal's collegiate history, OBJ likely missed more than Beal will. Was he a bust?
