flip a coin. Keep the best blocker or two. Conrad probably has a little more upside as a receiver.
Moops -- Dickenson and Simonson are bigger and more consistent
They're all listed as virtually the same size.
Simonson probably has no upside, what you see is what you get.
Dickenson has one camp under his belt.
Conrad's a rook. A mistake here and there is expected.
They're all fringe players at this point, with Conrad having a bit more upside. Me, if I like his blocking I keep him.
think Garrett is flying under the radar. He seems to have the ability to get further down the field than Conrad. (The play he made today is one I'm not sure Conrad could do). That said, Shurmur has praised Conrad for his blocking (despite his frame). It's going to be a tough battle.
Don't count out Simonson... again, blocking is a factor as much as receiving.
Good to see Slayton practicing. Hope he gets to play Friday. He could really be able too be the guy to take the top off the defense. He just needs to control his drops which seemed to go away in OTA's.
RE: Why would Eli be a candidate for comeback player of the year Â
if he personally had one of his better years in 2018?
Gidie or anybody else chime in please...
Googs,
The argument is that with real protection you might see a more consistent performance in “real time” and a winning record. Many pundits feel that his stats last year were inflated in “garbage time”.

He wouldn't be. It is Silly talk.
Who brought that up?
one of the beat writers picked up that some german betting website put out long shot odds for him to be comeback player of the year and wrote an article about it.
I can't imagine it is. He's going to make it. Though many talk about guys getting claimed very few do but I think he'd be someone some other team might take a chance on. Sub 4.4 attracts attention. And with Tate's suspension there is an "extra" spot.
Wheeler seemed out of sorts today, and not very energetic

Conrad could be a practice squad guy...may not be ready to contribute this year, but maybe a redshirt season will help

doesn’t seem good for Wheeler

Sounds like a guy that just got demoted.

This is a passing league now.
Whomever can consistently beat safety or lb pass coverage and be a weapon for the O, that's the guy we both want and need.
I wonder who besides Slayton might have the highest ceiling?
Friday night .
