NFT: Steve Hackett (Genesis) - Beacon Theater

Gary JC : 8/14/2019 10:31 am
Steve Hackett is playing the Beacon Theater in September. I've never seen him before and I'm thinking of going. His concerts on Youtube are blowing me away. Question: is there any way to find out the play list of a concert beforehand? Has anyone seen him live?
Here ya go....

not all of them have setlists posted as he's kind of an obscure artist, but there are setlists here:

Thanks Britt. I did see that link but it didn't give me much it seems. :)
Really?

If you click on the individual concerts, they give pretty detailed setlists and stats on how often he plays certain songs, variations of songs, etc.... You can also click on tour statistics and see amounts of Genesis or other covers, or solo material, etc... Not sure what more you're looking for, or going to find, than that

For instance, July 18th:

I saw him a few years ago

during the Genesis Revisited Tour, then saw him again last year. He puts on a great show and the musicians touring with him were excellent. The singer, Nag Sylvan sounds just like Peter Gabriel. During Genesis revisited you thought you were at a Genesis concert in the 70's. If your a fan of classic Genesis, I highly recommend.

By the way, both shows were at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in South Jersey which is an excellent venue. Easy to get to, free parking, great sound and not bad seat in the house. Plus there was a Diner nearby for after the show.

Enjoy the show!

Bill, thanks for this. Yes, that Nad Sylvan dude sounds great! He sounds like a cross between Peter Gabriel, Phl Collins and Cat Stevens. I see the song list and it looks like he's going to do his current solo album and the whole "England by the Pound" album and a few more early Genesis songs. That's all fine but I really, really want to see them do "Supper's Ready" which based on the current song list, he isn't going to do. I know all the musicians in the band are phenomenal! Thanks for your insight.
