NFT: Comcast\Xfinity any 2 year promotions any one knows about?

NYG27 : 8/14/2019 12:31 pm
Location I'll be at only has Comcast\Xfinity as an option for internet service provider. I have looked and searched for a new customer promotion for internet only that has a locked in price for 2 years.

Unfortunately, all I can find are 1 year promotions that balloon up in price the 2nd year. Has anyone on BBI had any luck recently in finding a Comcast\Xfinity new customer promotion that locks in the price for 2 years?
Comcast doesn't offer 2 year promotions.

It is always 1 year promotion with an increase on the 2nd. But you can call in after the promotion year and lock in another 2 year contract with the first year being a promotion. This way you are still paying a promotional rate, but you are kicking the can down the road if you choose to cancel. There is a penalty to cancel so keep that in mind. They will not contact you to put you in a new promotion. They want customers to forget and begin paying the balloon rate before being locked in to a new promotion.

If you are on an automatic payment schedule, it is easy to forget.

That’s not accurate. I just received mail for $129/mo for 24 months cable and internet from Comcast/xfinity. I think I’m going to switch from directv because I’m now paying over $100/month for internet alone from Comcast. Not to mention the nextstar directv dispute.

Oops. Putting words in your mouth. My b.
I got an offer in the mail the other day

I’m a comcast subscriber already so i don’t know why they sent it to me, but it’s an offer of a 2 year contract for what they call double play- tv and high speed internet- for $79.99 per month. I don’t know what’s included, ie whether you have to pay extra for a DVD recorder and I don’t know what the channel lineup is, or if it’s offered where you are. If you want to check it out, the number the give (“call today”) is 888-471-8054. Me, I’m seeing if cutting the cable would work for me. I already have netflix and amazon prime and i’ve been trying to get more info on Utube tv since I don’t have a smart tv and in messing around trying to find out more I tried to find their app on apple tv and i couldn’t find it but that may be something.you might want to check out if you can’t get a comcast plan that works for you.
Looking to cut the cord too

I just want to lock in a reasonable price on internet from Comcast for 2 years.

Between the new Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu package for $12.99, Netflix for $12.99 and an outdoor HD antenna to get the local channels, I don't need any other cable packages.
2 Year Deal?

Just call the 800 number a month before the year runs out and ask the VRU to "close account". It will connect you to the Retentions department. They can offer you the latest offers that they have.

Oops. Putting words in your mouth. My b.

my previous experience with Comcast was that the bill would be different every month. Call them up and they correct the mistake and credit you back to your agreed upon rate. virtually every month I went through the same routine. I winder how many people just paid the bill without catching the over billing.

I am going to be stuck with them again soon as Im moving to an area with no options.

Waiting for verizon 5G to be available in our area nad fully cut the cord.
