1. It's not as bad when you include 2017, which was Reese's final year. That adds Tomlinson, Rosas, Engram, Wheeler, Ellison, and Gallman to the mix. So about 12 out of 90 are holders (though at least 10 of those 12 are locks for the final 53).

2. DG initially kept quite a few talented players that he ultimately moved (or let go) for various reasons: Snacks, Collins, Apple, Vernon, OBJ, etc.

So it's not like the team was completely barren. Just not built the way DG/Shurmur felt it should be. Time will tell if they're right.

Shepard, omitted from the OP's list, has a near 0% chance of not being here next year.

this is also why i'm not sure why everyone was in a panic last year as they were losing and getting rid of the malcontents.

We are now in year 2 of a 3 year rebuild, they probably wont make the post season again, but the arrow is pointing up.
