PFT has an article (link below) talking about a Work Stoppage Guide the NFLPA has created for the players. It is probably a bit of the negotiation process (CBA) but, it clearly is intended to help some of these guys deal with what might be coming down the road. Some of the stuff is funny (selling a car(S) you haven't used in 6 months etc. and some is very interesting when you think about a lot of these players are very UNEDUCATED when it comes to financial matters. Having tons of money doesn't mean you know how to handle it or deal with it when it suddenly isn't there.
Work Stoppage Guide - (

I have to think you are correct. This would be about as bad as gets and the longtime fans will fade. Both sides have to see this.
I'm OK with a work stoppage. I'll focus on college football.
I'll only feel bad for the young players who make up the lower end of the Roster that play for minimum. Those guys will never make back the money.
And there is enough EPL and La Liga available to cover sports on Sundays.
But I'm with the players on this. Big time. Time to pull the grenade on this hideous cap system and create a system that is more flexible, more guaranteed cash, and provides more roster spots for depth.
