I haven't seen season 2 but I really liked the first season. It is like Stranger Things without the comedy, more dark (pun intended), and German, if I remmeber correctly. I think the voices are dubbed over so it can be annoying but I got over it real fast.
if you liked Slumdog Millionaire, particularly how the story was told then you will like this. Completely different story, but fantastic nonetheless. Sacred Games - ( New Window )

Highly recommend watching it with English subtitles instead of the overdub, which is awful.
...if you haven't watched it - SKIP the first episode though - Season 1, episode 1 would make most viewers never watch again, but it's one of my favorite ever series, in the tradition of Twilight Zone, will scramble your egg good!
Also loved Ozark, Bloodline, Lost in Space was cheesy but enjoyable, Better Call Saul is fucking great, OA was good.
Golden era of TV... for decades, I was the 'I don't watch much TV guy' with good reason. Most of it was shit.
Right now, there are literally dozens of great shows available.
...good casting. strong plot. Seasons 1-2 on NFLX, with Season 3 coming in mid-Fall.
Others have been mentioned already:
Narcos
Peaky Blinders
Better Call Saul - a must if you liked Breaking Bad.
This show is funny, upbeat, and a good palette cleanser after GoT. 2 seasons on Netflix. It's about Kristen Bell's character, Eleanor, waking up to find herself in the afterlife called "The Good Place", a perfect paradise community run by Ted Dansen's character, Michael. Only problem was Eleanor doesn't deserve to be there. She was an asshole on Earth and she has to figure out how to try to fit into this community of selfless, morally perfect people while hiding her true identity.
I also just finished Parks & Rec. All 7 seasons on Netflix. Pretty funny all the way around. Like most sitcoms, really hits its stride in the later seasons. Plenty of callback jokes. Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt are awesome and Ron Swanson is my spirit animal.
Wu Assassins, Umbrella Academy, New Sabrina, Stranger Things, Sense 8, Black Mirror, 13 Reasons Why, On My Block, Love Death & Robots just to name a few. If you’re into anime I suggest Baki, kenshan ashura, Ultraman, Hunter x Hunter, Godzilla 1,2,3; I’ll list more later
Yes, she was very good as Kimmy on The Americans! Â
I think it's just going to be a miniseries, but I thought it was pretty hilarious. It's a semi-biographical comedy about a guy in Japan who goes from an encyclopedia salesman to a porn director who pushes the limits.
And a completely different character too, so naive and sheltered where Ruth is so, well, ruthless.
Might now be your thing but she's in "Dirty John" with Eric Bana and Connie Britton - its based on the podcast that came out a couple years back. First and foremost, Connie is unreal hot but the actress that plays Ruth is in it (Connie Britton's daughter) and shes just as good in it playing a SoCal girl.
Sacred Games - ( New Window )
It's a show about a post WW1 crime family in Birmingham, England
4 seasons so far, with a 5th supposedly to be released this month.
Leftovers
Highly recommend watching it with English subtitles instead of the overdub, which is awful.
Narcos has its flaws, but is worth watching.
I thought The Santa Clarita Diet was damned funny, but it IS weird.
This x 2

This x 3. The 1st and 3rd seasons are outstanding. 2nd was still pretty darn good.
If you're into super hero stuff at all, check out The Umbrella Academy. It's quirky, but a ton of fun.
People rave about Mindhunter. I had trouble getting into it, but I'm going to give it another try.
*cue slow motion of the Shelby boys strutting through a grimy street as fire flares up near them*

Hardest part is often picking one!

I love that factory. What the fuck to they make in there that it belches fire into the street every 15 seconds?
I always wonder that too. I thought it was car parts.

I second this. Great show. Longmire is really good as well. Highway through hell (??) Was also good

I don't associate Shameless with Netflix, but definitely.
Nervous how they will deal with the departure of two of my favorites.
2 seasons in so far..quick watch.. incredible acting, incredible story...
One of my 2 favorite shows of all time already, with The Leftovers being the other.
Highly recommended!

Leftovers definitely in my top 5 shows ever, possibly higher. I enjoyed the OA. It was just cancelled, however.
Ozark
Peaky Blinders
Dark: Good sci fi, a little hard to follow, but we've watched it sporadically
Bloodline
Schitt's Creek: My girlfriend and I found it hilarious
She was AWESOME in Ozark. Seriously evil, that one!
Absolutely, she steals the show. Fantastic.

Danny McBride, John Goodman, Walt Goggins, and more, I hope it doesn't suck.
