NFT: Dental implants - Cost questions and advice, please?

TheGhostofBlueGuy : 8/15/2019 2:18 pm
I had a motorcycle accident about 10 years ago and lost 6 teeth and part of my intestine. I have a bridge that is now failing. I just got quoted $7100 for 3 implants only. Not implants with crowns. I've already had the bone graft done and this price seems high to me.

My questions are these:

1) Is this price high? It seems high to me based on some preliminary Google searches.
2) Who has has some implant work and what can I expect from a pain/discomfort standpoint?
3) Can someone recommend a dentist here in the greater TriState area? Preferably Westchester County but I will travel for a good recommendation.

Thank you for any and all advice. May the jokes begin!!!!

i just had mine done and its a process. i paid 1800 for the implant and its worth it. trust me its totally worth it.

insurance would pick up some if i didnt max it out with the actual bone grafting part.

Had mine done two years ago

Had the bone graft first...7 months to accommodate enough bone mass for support of two teeth. Another six months for the bone to grow and support the implant base. The two implants supported a "false" tooth between them. The three were done at the same time. This complete was about $6K. Then two crowns for the implants. The orthodontist and my dentist did a great job on this whole thing. Was out $9200 in the end.
I think your price is a touch high unless you've included the crowns.
That does seem high

A bone graft, implant and crown goes for 3.5 to 5G in the Bay Area. I had a housekeeper that said she got hers at a Dental school for 2G. $7100 for the implant only seems high.
If you are going to spend the money don't look to save pennies

and go to someone who is highly recommended to you and has an excellent reputation. It is costly but worth it. There are lots of added on costs, too.
Does the $7100 include anesthesia, xrays, etc.?
