Luis Severino just finished a bullpen session. From my press box perch 400 feet away, it looked as if Severino threw with a lot of intensity. This wasn't some between starts tossing session. He was letting it go. We will see what Severino and Boone say about it in a bit.
Indians lineup not out yet.
Greg Allen (S) CF
Carlos Santana (S) 1B
Yasiel Puig (R) RF
Jose Ramirez (S) 3B
Jason Kipnis (L) 2B
Franmil Reyes (R) DH
Tyler Naquin (L) LF

Luis Severino says he expect to face three hitters on Sunday like a sim inning. Then he expects to head to Tampa to throw a sim game and then start rehab games.
Says he thinks he can make first MLB start at as little as 60 pitches and build from there. #Yankees

With Domingo Germn now at 116 IP this year, the #Yankees dont anticipate needing to place a hard innings cap on him. He wont have restrictions in October. He spent more than 3 weeks on the injured list, which already slowed the odometer. @MLB @MLBNetwork

Cleveland just lost 2 out of 3 to a Boston team that was dead as a door nail going into that series. This series isn't going to show or prove anything.

Cleveland is not Baltimore or Detroit, so lets see how Yanks look ag this new and improved team.

Yeah, unless we lose the series and all the pessimists come crawling out.
They didn't sweep the Yankees. They won 3 of 4. They also followed that series by losing 7 straight games. The Sox also split 6 games in Fenway against 2 teams with 0.0% chance of making the postseason.
Forgive me. Read that incorrectly.

IDK.....beating good teams is always a plus, if for no other reason than you dont want to give the other guys a feeling that they can come into your home and kick sand on you.
Cleveland did lose 2/3 from Boston by Boston is still a good team. cleveland is 6-4 in last 10.
True, but it's not going to prove anything about the Yankees. The Yankees have proven who they are over 120 games.

Cleveland is a team in flux. They could come in here flat or they could come in here like this is a playoff series.

Would you agree there are 4 teams in tier one in the AL....Yanks, Astros, Twinkies, and Indians? I know you can argue, actually only two teams in tier one and two in tier two...either way, when one of those other 3 teams come knocking on your door, I think it is very important you punch them in the mouth and send them off thinking....I hope we dont play these guys in the playoffs, Id rather face the Astros.
Like I previously said, you dont want to give them any feeling of confidence that they can beat NY so Id rather play them instead of the Astros.
I agree, but I didnt expect a Yankees fan to agree. After all, you have a better record with all your injuries. I was just trying to be nice and not antagonistic toward Yankee fans here.
PS. Dont they have 3 ace pitchers now?

You come in here and troll using the same dumb argument every week.
They have 3 ace pitchers and what cannot be argued is the best top to bottom 25 in baseball right now.
That said, F them. I want them in the playoffs because this team is beating everyone this year. Tauchman and Urshela are going to hoist this team up baby!
Chad Green can't throw strikes to or get a .240 hitter out. Gotta do better than that.
Probably somewhere in the vicinity of 3 weeks. .
There are still 27 outs to go, and it looks like the Indians have a scrub pitcher going.
Everyone is on Pluto today except Judgey.
Gio is totally locked in.
What a wasted inning that was.
BABiP taketh away.
9-1
buttplug with 6rbis tonight.
Turn out the lights?
Wasn't that also a line from a Donna Summers' song?
Turn out the lights sweet darling for tonight is all the way.
Or was it dim all the lights?
Love winning but we aren't winning post-season games with this team unless our stars get healthy. Judge with another brutal game.

LMAO. RP joining the loser crew.
Chad Green was the only real pitcher in this game. And he blew it. This was a joke. I hope no BBIers had tickets.

I can't believe how inconsistent our pitchers have been this year.

The first rule of Loser Crew, is to mutumbo your finger at fellow yankees fans.
You do recognize the possibility that fans post emotional responses to shitbag games?

Is a ridiculous overreaction. But have at it. I guess that's something I should just not call out...
It's a 162 game season. There's bound to be some bullshit games. Have a sense of humor about it.

Shut the fuck up.
This team has been amazing this season. Its completely reasonable to knock morons who know want to complain and cry like the sky is falling.
So, seriously, shut the fuck up with this stupid, moronic bullshit.
We got destroyed....shit happens.
Good teams have bad nights. Great pitchers are off some times, so good ones can be excused on a bad night.
New day, new game....
Amazing. One fucking loss is all it takes.
The Astros just lost to the White Sox twice in a row... but who cares. Only the Yanks aren't allowed to lose.
We were like 12-1 in opener games going into last night. Green didn't have it. He's not perfect.
Some of the expectations here are just lunacy. God forbid the Yankees don't win every single night....

Exactly. Not a hard strategy to grasp. Game out of hand early, send out a couple sacrificial lambs, save big bullpen arms for the rest of the series.
Last nights game represents smart managing by Boone.

Who are you? Have you ever posted on here before? The air up where you live must get real thin.
Lets see if they can split the series now, they miss Bieber
in this series, looks like an ace in the making.
They also lost 4 in a row this time in August of that year
Was 1927 a good year for the Yankees? I forget.
The 1998 Yankees once lost 3 of their first 4. Lost 5-16 one time and went 5 loses to 4 wins mid way through the season.
Was 1998 a good Yankee team? I forget.
Still saw 12 Indians runs.
Claggett made only three MLB appearances, ending his major league career with 11 runs allowed in 3.2 IP for a 27.00 career ERA.

Good to hear, Fekker. Enjoy watching the not-Mets in the playoffs!
Disclaimer: while not a Yankees fan (Mets), Im rooting hard for Yanks to beat Astros in the playoffs, so I am following more closely now. I didnt like hearing everyone say you might as well hand the WS rings to the Astros after picking up Greinke.
