Going through some of my grandfather's stuff, I just found this 1915 football program. Some of you will remember I recently posted pictures of Giant's programs from the '20s. I hope some of you Syracuse alums enjoy this.

I love this stuff
Loved reading that, thanks for posting!
-The fact it's a Foot Ball program. Oh and also X-Country btw
-25 cent parking! Reads like those are prime spots. I live in LA...
-The ads that are stories or convos, vs just a one line motto or saying
-References to AG Spalding sports store in Cuse...the official college football, but guessing the same bball co today
-Scoring. Lists the obvious stuff TD...6 pts etc, but last one "Touchback...Nothing" was an lol
-Principal Alterations of the Rules for 1915. Subs only to start periods. Running into punter, but also the FB is 15 yrds. Rouging him is 15 + DQs. If a 2nd eligible man touches a fwd pass after being touched by another eligible player, it's incomplete (no tip drills deflections?)
-Principal penalties: Extra TO call - 2 yds. "Unreasonable Delay" - 5. Crawling - 5. Interference of fwd pass - 15 (PDs not allowed?)
-But weirder: Leaving the field at intermission - 15. Side line coaching (I assume out of team area but sounds funny) - 15. Team not ready to start half - 25!!! Striking, kneeing, kicking (no further explanation) - Half the distance (is that from anywhere? Next one is half the distance within the 1)
Good stuff, thanks again!
Also - 'Cuse played Montana in Missoula - that's some road trip for 1915.
I like that too, but the program has the offense opposing the other offense. I guess they played two-way and their defensive position wasn't as important.
Super cool
Unless I come up with a better idea I'll probably just preserve it and give it to my kids. I'll definitely save the Giants programs since they have my grandfather listed as a player but this program is less sentimental to me.

I am sure there is much more to these stories than I remember.
