rate these Rb2's first in non ppr
Aaron Jones
Kerryon Johnson
Marlon Mack

do your rankings change for a ppr?

also who would you rather have as your wr2
Godwin or Golladay?

I like

Kerryon & Godwin

Johnson
Jones
Mack

regardless of format. I just think everything aligns really well for Kerryon this season. No Riddick, should be an improved defense, and Bevell's offense isn't going to be among tops in the league for pass attempts like we've seen Detroit be in some recent years.

Agreed with this order. I forgot the exact stat, but a lot of Mack's stats came in garbage time (i.e. when the Colts were up by a lot) so that worries me.

Godwin over Golloday I think in a PPR format. Seems like they're really high on him, and Tampa will be among the league leaders in pass attempts this year. Humphries + Jackson are gone as well.
Forgot to read the PPR vs Non PPR Thing
kash94 : 8/16/2019 10:04 am : link
but I would still have the same order
Mack is going to have a big season. Guy is a player and Hines
Zeke's Alibi : 8/16/2019 10:07 am : link
Is a strictly change of pace guy. Their offensive line is young and talented. He is going to rush the ball close to 300 times this year.
for those in snake drafts,
bigbluehoya : 8/16/2019 10:11 am : link
which I assume is most people, these are 3 of an interesting handful of RBs that make opening up WR-WR in rounds 1 and 2 a really interesting proposition this year.

Good point. I never lock in on coming away with my X after the first 2 rounds but I like to prepare for taking advantage of a player that drops to me even if it keeps me from a balanced first few rounds.

I’ll gladly go WR WR if the value is there. So many RBs, probably 9 or so will be off the board in the first round of most 12 team leagues - after those guys are gone very little separates that next couple of tiers.
Fifth pick PPR League
Reeses Pieces : 8/16/2019 10:49 am : link
These holdouts hurt, making the fifth pick extremely unattractive. If Zeke is there should I take a chance? If not, I personally am not some on DJ. Go WR? Give Bell a look? Again, not a good spot.

Same boat. but non ppr. It seems all experts are sold on DJ as a top 5 rb this year. why? Bad Oline, rookie qb and new unproven system.

I prob will go Zeke if he falls which he will not. So then Im stuck with DJ or Hopkins/Adams.
David Johnson
UConn4523 : 8/16/2019 11:12 am : link
had 1400 total yards and 10 TDs in what was a putrid year. Outside of an injury here’s almost no way he doesn’t improve on those numbers. In a PPR that averages out to 15 points per game floor. I realize that isn’t ideal but it’s solid.
I don’t trust DJ (or Cardinals)
Reeses Pieces : 8/16/2019 11:14 am : link
Looking at last year’s stats D. Adams was super consistent. However, some young receivers may take some targets away. I’m leaning Hopkins at this point, but I have almost exclusively drafted a RB in the first round every year.
That said I’m taking Hopkins as early as 5
UConn4523 : 8/16/2019 11:14 am : link
in a PPR anyway so that’s probably a moot point for me. Doing so will also alleviate any of the hard decisions on the holdout RBs - someone will pick them before you make your 2nd round selection.
I am torn on who to set as my Keeper
beatrixkiddo : 8/16/2019 11:16 am : link
PPR 14 team league.

Juju- 3rd
Mack- 8th
Golladay- 10th

While Mack or Golladay present much stronger values I am leaning JuJu. I draft 10th in a snake draft. I haven’t had the time to really analyze what will be available though and with 14 teams workhorse RBs dry up quick, usually good to secure one early. What strategy would you do and who should I keep?
When do you draft
Mr. Nickels : 8/16/2019 11:32 am : link
Melvin Gordon?
With the 7th pick
dep026 : 8/16/2019 11:56 am : link
I’m definitely going WR/WR. I’m avoiding Bell and hoping Elliott is taken before my pick. I’ve been getting Thomas and either JuJu/Julio at 14.

From there the 3/4 rounds there have been Kerryon, Michel, Carson, Bears rookie, Jones, etc...

My question is when do you take AJ Green? I’m praying people forget him and I can get him in the 5th round.

I wont. He is going to sit out at least until the last min. Which makes him out till week 10. HARD PASS.

As for AJ Green..WHen is he back?? Week 1-3? 4-6? If I knew that it would be easier. SInce we don't then rd 7-8 in a 10 team

14 feels late for Julio. I'm in the midst of a Kentucky Derby-style draft spot selection right now. 14 team 0.5 PPR. I have 7th choice of spot. First 3 guys have taken 1,2,3. From the outset, I've had #7 soft-circled in my head. And will take whoever is left of Hopkins, Adams, Julio, Thomas in that order. Hope for Gurley in the second, and if he's not there, probably Kerryon.

It's tempting to choose a later spot -- at ~12, could be looking at something like Chubb + Mike Evans which would be an awesome start.
dep, I have the same list (8th pick)
Rory B. Bellows : 8/16/2019 12:23 pm : link
I'm looking at Carson in the 3rd and maybe M. Ingram in the 4th
Can someone explain to me the rationale for PPR?
Csonka : 8/16/2019 2:03 pm : link
I don't know why there is such a thing. A 10 yard run should be worth just as much as a 10 yard catch. And a catch for no yards shouldn't be worth anything.

I just think you should just take the stud in Juju. You'll be happier you have him.

Mack has that potential but he hasn't been very durable. I'm a little concerned about overdrafting him for that reason.

I like Mack too. More than those other guys listed earlier.

Fair point. Some leagues have adjusted and tweaked the rules to reflect this thinking but many have not.

This is an opinion. There's also a view that if WR A had 1 catch for 50 yards, and WR B had 5 catches for 50 yards, WR B may have had a much more significant impact on the game by converting 3 first downs to keep drives going.

There's not really a right and wrong, hence why across the industry there is still such diversity in practice of actual league settings. Personally, I find 0.5 PPR to strike the perfect balance.
0.5 PPR guy here
UConn4523 : 8/16/2019 4:42 pm : link
I think it’s a great balance. Keeps guys like James White from getting 19 points off of 11 catches for 80 yards.
I like the full point
beatrixkiddo : 8/16/2019 5:50 pm : link
PPR in a deep team format. I play in a league w/ 14 teams, if there was no PPR the already thin pool of RBs would be even thinner. It helps balance things out as you may have to rely on one of those 3rd down receiver backs as your #2 and in some cases #1. It’s challenging to build your roster for sure when their are that many teams.
Does anyone use A draft
beatrixkiddo : 8/16/2019 5:59 pm : link
Cheat sheet? I remember using one from Beer Sheets but haven’t seen any of his stuff posted yet. Worked great last year as a visual check off during the live draft.
