read on twitter that he played a ton of snaps last night, more than anyone on the team and played deep into the 2nd half. Why leave him in that long?
Well, this is the coach....
Jury is still out on Gase. He could end up a good coach. Or a middling 7-9/8-8 most years type that can't get over the hump. If he was like a 15-34 career record then I'd really be worried, but last night he didn't do anything out of the ordinary as not every starter is immediately pulled at once. You see it with all teams, in all preseason games
He was a solid overall player and a good coverage linebacker. His loss will be felt. If I have any hope it's that Blake Cashman coming out of college (and in TC/preseason) is showing himself to also be pretty good in coverage. Still he's a rookie. Jets hand may be forced into making a trade here within the next couple of days

I guess you didn't watch the Giants game last night where the Bears sat their entire starting defense which kind of contradicts your post.

IIRC Thomas got hurt right before halftime and the news broke coming out of halftime that he was done for the year.
And we, aside from the Pats, have that same cakeawalk.

Yeah but he roots for the Giants every game! LOL, this guy continues to amaze me. Just another lame troll.
