Amed Rosario – SS
J.D. Davis – LF
Pete Alonso – 1B
Michael Conforto – RF
Todd Frazier- DH
Juan Lagares – CF
Joe Panik – 2B
Tomás Nido– C
Rubén Tejada – 3B
Noah Syndergaard – RHP
This lineup is UGLY! lol Take 2 of 3 on the road in KC and that will be fine with me. Just toe the line for another week until hopefully some reinforcements arrive. LGFM!

I mean the Mets had Chris Mazza as the 8th man in the bullpen for 11 days and never used him. Mets rotation is good enough you don't need that 8th guy active per say. If you have a big bullpen day you fly a guy in, Triple-A isn't in Vegas anymore and your bench sucks.
The more I think about it, this lineup configuration is baffling. You make your best defensive player the DH and leave JD Davis in LF and move Ramos to the bench? lol
YESS!
1.) Nimmo CF
2.) Rosario SS
3.) McNeil 3B
4.) Alonso 1B
5.) Conforto RF
6.) Davis LF
7.) Ramos C
8.) Lowrie 2B
Wow. Thats a whole new team basically.
Yes I keep mis-typing that. My bad. lol
But even if Lagares & Panik keep it up, it's 3 easy outs after that. Nido's had moments but still not too good and we can't expect much from Tejada yet, til he shows at an MLB plate again
Then again KC is likely the last best time to rest anyone
I think KC has a lot of speed & runs all the time. Might see Nito more often

Sure. Basically there are advanced metrics that track defense. DRS and UZR. Both are based of the same BIS computer tracking system. Some people like DRS better. Others UZR. Fangraphs prefers UZR and this makes up part of their overall fWAR rating.
Basically, Rosario had a REALLY bad DRS score. 0 is average. It was as low as -18. Considering it's now at -13, it shows that he's been playing much better defense lately (+5 level). His UZR and defensive rating on FG is above average. All really great signs which backup the eye test. We've all seen him playing better.

Per Elias: Last night, Pete Alonso became the first NL rookie to have five or more hits and six or more RBI since Jimmy O’Connell with the N.Y. Giants on June 1, 1923. He had five hits and seven RBI. #Mets #LGM
Why shouldn’t we? Has he failed in some way? Last time he was on the field he was killing it. Injuries suck but I’ll remain optimistic until I have proof I need not to be. And let’s be clear.. how good does he really have to be to be an improvement over guys like Tejada?

Brandon Nimmo - you will be shocked to find out - walked in his first rehab plate appearance with St. Lucie tonight.
Super news about nimmo. Getting him back would be huge. Plugging him and Lowrie In could make the difference.
fuck I'm excited
This game is back to really dicey...bot 8, 2nd & 3rd 0-outs w/ Brach on the mound. Still 2-1 KC
Lucky passed ball just now, no run scored
Diaz warming...............
Here comes Diaz
and still doesn't really change the narrative on Diaz, just delays the inevitable...
and Tejada, like I said, is garbage and shouldn't be getting playing time with the Mets.
So basically Rosario needs a triple or HR
Awesome.
God at least I can still vaguely remember 1986.
Alonso prob next
fuck I'm excited
Hard to get excited about Nimmo, he walks a lot but an average hitter at best. Anyway lost 4 out of 5 and players getting hurt, well at least they made a run at it.
I would imagine they DH him today, but no excuses - the next two games are must win games.
