The right move and the smart decision is to start Eli until this happens..
1. Eli has a couple of really bad games in a row
and/or
2. The team is like 2-6
Other than that, there is no way we are starting Jones early in the season.... and it does not matter how many nice looking passes he throws during pre-season.

With preseason, you never know what plays they want to work on. Add in having to play the Bears later in the season and they might just be trying to run a play to see if somebody had their assignment or something.
