| He played at Nebraska, big school known for physical football. I believe he falls into the grouping of one of those Tackles to guard converts and with that the projection can be tough.
More generally, Gettlemans teams in Carolina were able to develop OL talent. Norwell was an UDFA and is now a bona fide starting guard.
So when Giants kept young OL around last year specifically Gates and Brown, I hoped they were developing them.
I'd have to watch the game in closer detail to have a more specific opinion on how they played, but I like the direction the OL is going in.
The biggest weakness I believe is in swing tackle. Wheeler has fallen behind. If a veteran shakes loose, especially with Big George banged up and missing important time, that is the spot I would focus on filling.
