But backup OL is a need for every team.
I don't worry about the pass rush as much as others. The way O is played now the ball is out of the qb's hands in less than 2.5 seconds.
If a qb gets sacked now he is holding the ball too long. That may well be a function of good coverage by the back seven.
The key is for our lbs and safeties to be able to cover TEs and Rbs out of the backfield. If we can improve in that area the team will be much more competitive then in past years imo.
We still need to find competent backup OTs and OGs for our starting OL. Should one or more go down then it will be a cluster.
|Things are looking up, but there are going to be weak spots. And WR and DE are looking like weak spots. If DG keeps it up we could be in a really good spot in a couple of years.|
