As I’ve said and written plenty over the last three weeks, Jones’ accuracy into tight windows, especially on deep balls, is what is most impressive. He makes throws like the TD with relative ease. You can tell what Gettleman saw and why Giants have so much reason for optimism

Jones’ two touchdown passes are impressive regardless of opponent/vanilla scheme, because he had to drop a dime in perfectly, both times against tight coverage. That’s a skill you can’t easily teach

Watching some TJ Jones tape after the strong pre-season w/the Giants. Pretty fluid athlete, good straight-line speed. At the top of his routes though, does not often "define" his break w/a jab step, etc. In the right slot vs a Zero Blitz

Archer ESPN Dallas: After last week’s preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers, Jerry Jones said Tony Pollard has shown he could be an every-down back. On Sunday, the owner and general manager was asked if Pollard is the best negotiating ploy the Cowboys have in talks with Ezekiel Elliott. “Zeke who?” Jones joked. Pollard had 51 yards on the Cowboys’ first drive that ended with his 14-yard touchdown run. “He knows exactly what to do, and he knows how to do it, so it is, he goes out there and he plays to that level,” Jones said. “If he continues this through the next several weeks, he's going to be right in the middle of it early, and that will really complement what we're doing with Zeke. Not replace that. And I mean that, not replace that. Nobody's getting cute here, but it'll certainly be a great complement … I can picture those guys same sets at the same times out there and really giving those defenses fits.”

I believe the NFL is going to an 18-game schedule. We'll see more joint practices, and I think coaches will get their way of getting more time with players during the offseason. But it's going to cost the owners a whole lot to convince the union to do it. I think they will

Reiss ESPN Boston: Quick-hit thoughts and notes around the New England Patriots and NFL:
Patriots' plans behind Tom Brady among roster questions ahead

“Practice through Belichick's eyes: The Titans allow reporters to watch practice on the field, which at one point last week provided an opportunity to be alongside Belichick on the end line as he oversaw a red zone 7-on-7 passing drill with the top defense. This sparked a greater appreciation for what he looks for in terms of communication and switches with defensive backs, and truly, how much coordination there needs to be with the unit each play. The Patriots might have their deepest secondary in Belichick's 20-year coaching tenure, and they locked down the Titans pretty good in the drill, which had Belichick fired up. One thought I had: This was "Throwback Bill," to his old days in the '80s as Giants defensive coordinator.”

Need to see a lot more from the left side of the line. Felt Flowers was better Thursday than 1st game; saw the size more. Pulled better to his left than he did to his right in opener. Wonder about getting to 2nd level tho. Still see bending at waist at times

John Keim (@john_keim)

Christian looked like... an inexperienced tackle still learning. I'm not an expert, at all, on kick steps. But seems to get in trouble with his -- sometimes flat. gets off-balance. ideally he'd be a swing OT this year; losing last year and then no practice time in offseason hurts

Sometimes lets DE into body and gets driven back. They'll need Penn to hold this down, but he's still working his way back in. Clearly easing in as he works into football shape. GC athletic; just needs consistent technique and more strength. When kickstep good? balance helps him
