this whole quick to label everyone mentally ill is a bizarre phenomenon. His an attention whore asshole, has been for years. He also had a legit gripe and isn’t happy with the result.
as much as possible. For players who stay fit and don't need to get in shape, and for some who just don't want to be bothered with the extra work, it's not uncommon to try and skip camp.

I think all signs point to this.
Someone asked Rosenhaus why this was suddenly an issue with Brown because the NFL declared the helmet outdated over a year ago. Rosenhaus said they - I guess Team Brown - have been working with all parties involved for the last six months.
He is back at practice today after Mayock's call out.
I know there is probably more going on behind the scenes that we are not privy too, but the conspiracy theorist in me says this has something to do with Hard Knocks and getting people to watch the show.
I know...I know...that is absurd to think about, but what a weird situation with most of it being played out in the media.

Sure, Drew. Sure.
it sounded like AB appealed the league's decision and the league kicked it to a safety committee who re-tested the helmet, after re-testing it still failed - but it all took time. I guess.

You use terms like holy shit, or bizarre...I am so glad that you have it all worked out.
I used the term mentally ill because I am concerned about his stability and health and wish him well. You have no special insight either. Even if he is an attention whore asshole, as you say, I would still hope he can get his life figured out.
You didn't have to be Kreskin to see this wouldn't end well.
There is no question that they moved the goalposts after arbitration, if the facts as reported are accurate.
The Raiders for handcuffing themselves to this guy with that contract.
Brown for handling this helmet situation like a child from the jump.
And the league for showing once again that the only consistent thing about them is what an inconsistent mess they make of anything they touch

I bet if he didn't make that stupid mistake and could practice he wouldn't be spending so much effort on this.
Either way Oakland has to be having some buyers remorse.
