Chucky is bemusing, but this is what you get for trading for Brown. At the time it was a steal.

You didn't have to be Kreskin to see this wouldn't end well.
I’m thinking the next NFL contract needs to be with

Feet permanently at the cryotherapy, could the raiders withhold his salary nd bonus and cut him without penalty?
Somebody here last week said they knew somebody in the Raiders....

Read the article and pay attention to the timeline of events and decisions made.

There is no question that they moved the goalposts after arbitration, if the facts as reported are accurate.
It could just be his way of avoiding training camp

as much as possible. For players who stay fit and don't need to get in shape, and for some who just don't want to be bothered with the extra work, it's not uncommon to try and skip camp.
All parties involved in this

come out looking ridiculous honestly.

The Raiders for handcuffing themselves to this guy with that contract.

Brown for handling this helmet situation like a child from the jump.

And the league for showing once again that the only consistent thing about them is what an inconsistent mess they make of anything they touch

I think all signs point to this.

Someone asked Rosenhaus why this was suddenly an issue with Brown because the NFL declared the helmet outdated over a year ago. Rosenhaus said they - I guess Team Brown - have been working with all parties involved for the last six months.

Sure, Drew. Sure.

And..

He is back at practice today after Mayock's call out.

I know there is probably more going on behind the scenes that we are not privy too, but the conspiracy theorist in me says this has something to do with Hard Knocks and getting people to watch the show.

I know...I know...that is absurd to think about, but what a weird situation with most of it being played out in the media.

it sounded like AB appealed the league's decision and the league kicked it to a safety committee who re-tested the helmet, after re-testing it still failed - but it all took time. I guess.

You use terms like holy shit, or bizarre...I am so glad that you have it all worked out.

I used the term mentally ill because I am concerned about his stability and health and wish him well. You have no special insight either. Even if he is an attention whore asshole, as you say, I would still hope he can get his life figured out.
Listened to an interview with Rosenhaus
ron mexico : 8/26/2019 2:02 pm : link
he said that helmet makers have approached brown to make him a custom helmet that will meet spec and pay him "a lot of money" to wear it.

Even if he is pissed about the helmet, these are the rules and there

are other players abiding by them. All he is doing now is hurting his team. He's had barely any time with his new QB, offense, or team mates.
I feel like the helmet issue is being done in part
ron mexico : 8/26/2019 3:09 pm : link
To cover up the foot issue.

I bet if he didn't make that stupid mistake and could practice he wouldn't be spending so much effort on this.

Either way Oakland has to be having some buyers remorse.
