Sam Beal (hamstring), Antonio Hamilton (groin), Tae Davis (?) not practicing. Dalvin Tomlinson is back after an excused absence yesterday. DeAndre Baker (knee) doing individual drills. Don’t see Golden Tate (concussion), George Asafo-Adjei (concussion) and Michael Thomas (?).

Goodson has a couple of weeks to save himself. The ILBs with the most upside are Connelly, maybe Davis, and - longer term - Tauaefa, who is likely ticketed for the practice squad.
I like Goodson more than a lot of folks here, but he hasn't shown that he can be an every-down player.

Shurmur thinks TE Evan Engram has improved his game in all areas, particularly blocking. That comes with another year in the system.

I'm not sure they'd be able to get Big George to the PS if he's still injured?! Beal is also still injured and even if we were capable of releasing him he'd never make it to the PS. It's a problem.

Shurmur said these past two days of practice have been very productive for the team. They took advantage of the heat and humidity, and were physical both days.

This would be a massive benefit to the offense and keeping defenses guessing when EE is on the field...
