My wife drafted her team last night. 12 team non ppr. 4 point tds for passing qbs. She picked 11th. Start 2 rb 2 wr 1 flex.
Qb Ryan, Rivers
Rbs Conner, Damian Williams, Howard, Dion Lewis, J Samuels
Wrs Adams, Godwin, Davis, Tate, Debo Samuel
TEs Ertz, Rudolf
DEF Rams
K Butker

Pretty solid I think. As long as Williams and Howard hold the #1 rb spots in KC and Philly.
I love Adams and Godwin as her wrs.

thoughts?
Whelp got my draft position
Randy_Lahey : 8/21/2019 8:36 am : link
6th in a 14 team half PPR.

Seems likely that I'll be choosing between Elliot, Hopkins, Davante, and Julio in the first.

Second round gets interesting. Might try to go with 2 WR to start this year. Sometimes in Fantasy I find myself fighting last year's war, and last year I was very easily able to find cheap and productive RBs late and on Waivers (Chubb, Conner, Damien Williams), but the fact that I hadn't invested heavily in WR early in the draft really held me back all year and especially in the Championship. Do I bet on my ability to find value at RB again, and bulk up on WR early? Seems to be the way the draft board will push me anyway.

That is a pretty solid team.

With that said, I don't think Howard is going to be the primary back in Philly. I have been hearing really good things about Sanders. I think he's the guy to own on that team. The Eagles will be tough to rely on when it comes to RBs though because of their committee philosophy.
Regardless, Howard could develop into a good flex play. I see him as a TD vulture on that squad, and I bet he scores a ton this year but not much yards.

Best of luck to her.

Thanks I had some influence
I would not be comfortable with that RB depth

I would probably ditch the backup TE for another RB. Maybe Darwin Thompson? He has a shot at serious playing time if Damien Williams goes down. There are rumors that Hyde may not even make the team.
I’m picking 11th

In 14 team PPR league. I’m liking doubling up on WR at that slot, even with keeping JuJu for a 3rd.

Hoping Evans is there with my 2nd. I’m guessing my 1st option is going to come down to Beckham or Hill. Who would you pick? OBJ has the injury history and uncertain situation with playing with a CLE team that looks ready to explode but hasn’t done shit yet, plus they have a great defense. Hill could take another step forward this year, KC defense still will give up points, we also get bonus points for long plays and over 100yd bonuses, also return yards which has me leaning Hill. What say you?

funny, I have the same pick, also 14 teams, 0.5 PPR.

Have been praying that one of Hopkins/Julio/Thomas/Adams slide to 11. Basically requires that Zeke, DJ, and 2 of Bell/Mixon/Conner get taken. I'd say the odds are pretty strong against me, but this league has a wide mix of levels of experience/involvement, so it's unpredictable.

It's a bunch of dads who all live in the neighborhood and end up spending a bunch of time together due to our wives and kids. There are at least 1-2 owners who, in spite of being very nice people, really just don't know their stuff.

Yeah I’m hoping similarly that one of those same players may fall to me, but right now am planning for the worst case. I’m totally torn, I really don’t like and RB’s at my position at the top of the draft this year. So many hold outs, injuries, unproven players that haven’t shown capable of handling FT work loads. I want to nail down some top WR’s and I’ll go hard hitting RBs where I see more value in this draft which is the 4th-8th rounds.
I have pick
pjcas18 : 8/21/2019 5:08 pm : link
#7 in my keeper league. Many top players are kept.

I have an opportunity to trade pick #7 to someone for pick for pick 14 and 19 (so my 1st for someone's 2nd and 3rd)

would you do it?

Here is a list of top 20 or so players.

1. DJ
2. D. Adams
3. Zeke
4. OBJ
5. Tyreek Hill
6. Mixon
7. Cook
8. JuJu
9. D. Williams
10. AB
11. Gordon
12. TY
13. Fournette
14. D. Henry
15. K . Allen
16. Kerryon
17. Freeman
18. Cooper
19. Thielen
20. Josh Jacobs

so basically it's 7 and 11 vs 11, 14, and 19

So for example:

D. Cook and TY Hilton
TY Hilton, Kerryon Johnson and Thielen

Obviously players are up for change...depending how the draft goes.

One, can you make the trade when you are on the clock? Two, you are throwing away your last draft pick. Could you expand the trade at all to get a better pick while giving up your last pick and another? Something like pick 16 and 8 for his 7th?
I can’t trade on the clock
pjcas18 : 8/22/2019 12:13 am : link
It’s a yahoo draft. I’m suggesting pick #7 (round 1) and a late pick for pick #14 (round 2) and I think #17 (round 3). Just no one I love at 7 so much more than who will be at 14

I had to do that last year. Ended up with AB and JJ. Came in 3rd

I kind of like it but if one of those top 5 or 6 guys drop to you that I mentioned the other day then I may not like it. But you will probably be looking at like Juju or Cook. I like Juju but is either really worth two guys slightly down the list? I don't think so.

Yeah, the way I looked at it is:

Dalvin Cook, JuJu, Damien Williams

vs

Derrick Henry and Adam Thielen
or
Fournette and Thielen
Or AB and Thielen if I want to load up on WR's

And in my mind players at 7 (Cook, JuJu, Williams) are not THAT much better than Fournette and Thielen - so 2 is better than 1 is my theory.
