I don’t think there’s any coincidence any longer. I think he’s shown he can play in this league. Now can he do it when the real bullets fly?! Probably won’t see it this year.
More than that, he got CRUSHED on that sack. A little similar to that big sack Eli took as a rookie against the Eagles. But he got back up and made a major throw with heat coming at him again.
That sack also reminded me about the one Eli took as a rookie against the Eagles. But then he got back up to make more great throws.

Very impressive and poised for a young QB. Good point about the Eli hit. It was eerily similar!
On the second big play when he connected down the left sideline to Slayton, I feel like it was a great play by Slayton but an underthrown ball by Jones, unless he was *trying* to do some kind of a back-shoulder/intentional underthrow. Other than that, I think DJ had a good showing.
On another note, even though Eli has only had three drives this preseason, he has looked fairly sharp and confident, especially tonight.
Well now that jones is done for the night here are his stats for the Â
I'll tell ya if eli and /or the team as a whole dont get off to a good start the whispers to start jones are going to get louder and louder every week . The way jones has looked this preseason i dont think fans are going to have the patience to watch another losing season while jones holds a clipboard

Here's the play. I don't think this underthrown at all Â

he also had pressure he couodnt really step into the throw
May play himself off the team. Next week's game should be interesting between Tanney and Lauletta. He didn't play well last week. Lauletta had better ball placement / touch.
This is t he 3rd preseason game of the year, and typically the game where the starters play at least the entire first half and into the 3rd quarter. But that didn't come close to happening tonight, and Jones played the majority of the first half.

One thing that Diehl has a gift for is the gift of gab. He can make an ordinary story interesting. These announcers paid attention, indeed.

Eli looked VERY sharp. I didn't know he could throw that hard anymore.

What a guy.
Cant wait for you to cheer on Eli like this every time he completes a pass :)
What the hell?
He knows what I was talking about. And he understood the joke. Him and I were on the same page..

His first pass was garbage

That hitch route was tremendous. Perfect spot to. The throw to the end zone I thought could have been thrown better.

There was safety help. Always gotta be careful. Little out in front could be picked or a WR gets knocked out.

sorry Eric, but not seeing the down field throws, just WCO chain move. Hopefully, we have more to offer game 1, else we are in bad shape.
Love the movement in the pocket, love the look off and the shoulder action. Good rhythm. That's a pro qb.

they have thrown the ball down the field all pre season...
Most of Jones best throws are deep throws

I'm really trying to temper my enthusiasm... it's getting harder to do each time I watch him.

I thought it was a back shoulder throw
i am actually glad he threw short on a few plays because it means he is going through his progressions

I was told to not get too excited because this is just batting practice
A little surprised they didn't want to play Jones a little more this game.

Me too! I have to keep pinching myself.
?? I thought you were streaming the game.

I paid good money to see Jones. Tanney? Maybe I'll change the channel.

Perkins with some nice burst and hands.

Haha. Yeah, that was some analogy...
