Am I “crazy” for seriously considering Chubb at 5 overall in a 10 team standard non ppr?

Also where are you taking AJ Green? I’m looking at 7/8
I’ve always advocated for taking your guy
Saos1n : 8/23/2019 8:37 am : link
Damn the draft slot. I, personally, wouldn’t. If the top 4 RBs go, I would probably lean David Johnson, while hoping Chubb fell to round 2. If he doesn’t, a top tier 2 WR will be there, such as, Odell, Julio or Thomas.

I know DJ has burned folks in the past, but I believe he’s going to have a lot more room to navigate in Kingsbury’s air raid attack.
Not crazy.
V.I.G. : 8/23/2019 8:42 am : link
. In 2020 mocks he'll be there or higher
I don't think it's
pjcas18 : 8/23/2019 8:58 am : link
crazy his ADP is 12 across multiple sites, but at the end of the day you can't wait to get him in another round, so take him at your 1st round pick if you like him.

Not sure on AJ Green, if the draft falls in a way I like and he presents value I'd take him. His ADP is 53, so he's going in 4th/5th depending how many teams.

How are you guys handling Antonio Brown? Stay away or right around his ADP (22)?
Brown scares me
Eli Wilson : 8/23/2019 9:05 am : link
Is he going to sit out at all, or if he doesn't - is he going to worry about going across the middle because of the helmet issue?

The problem is so do other WRs around the same ADP - Do you trust Keenan Allen to stay healthy? Last year I drafted Mike Evans and he was really hit or miss.

Unfortunately I will be picking in the 22 slot on the way back in round 2.
Don't think you are crazy on Chubb at 5
Steve in ATL : 8/23/2019 9:15 am : link
Am I crazy to consider him at 4. I hate the 4 slot. Zeke scares me at 4.
I have my draft tomorrow and have had similar thoughts on Chubb
SimpleMan : 8/23/2019 11:21 am : link
I am very high on him. The only obvious problem is Hunt. If Chubb does play really well though, are they really going to put him in a timeshare with Hunt, who can't even play until week 10? Im starting to get comfortable with taking him earlier than most would. I also worry that if I am in the 6-7 area of the draft and take a WR, who will be available at RB? There is a chance Chubb slides to round 2 but you can't count on that in a 12 team league. I am not nearly as high on Cook, Fournette and those types who will be available in round 2.
I think Chubb
JayBinQueens : 8/23/2019 12:00 pm : link
will be good regadless of Hunt.

Did people start looking at streaming defenses?

I have to decide between Philly (vs. Washington) & Seattle (vs Cincy). I'm leaning towards Philly in what I think is a no brainer
I have 9th pick
nygnyy274 : 8/23/2019 12:30 pm : link
In my big money 12 team draft. Full point PPR. I am pretty sure I will have a choice of Julio.Gurley Thomas juju and Connor there. I’m thinking between Julio and gurley.
I think that

all the b.s. around Brown makes him undervalued this year. When the games are real that guy plays his heart out. Probably gonna buy him in my auction draft.

And Allen was a non factor in the playoffs because he got hurt that Thursday night game against KC. i was struggling all week to play him or Robbie Anderson the week of my championship because Allen missed practice that whole week but. Chargers playing Saturday night was the reason I choose Anderson and it paid off big time for me

I like Thomas more than Julio.

but not a lot of separation between those players IMO.

Who are some rookies and sleepers any of you are targeting?

I'm having a tough time
Mr Brightside : 8/23/2019 1:56 pm : link
with the tier of WRs after Evans. Allen is banged up & Henry is back, Hilton may or may not have Luck, The Vikings seem to want to be more run heavy.

My favorite might actually be Cooper in a contract year, but even he has a heel injury right now.

A lot of guys with warts after the top 5 IMO.

in the Evans vicinity I have:

Tyreek
Thielen
Allen (on my avoid list unless he represents value over ADP)
Edelman
Cooper
TY
Diggs

Then I really like guys later like

Godwin
DJ Moore
Mike Williams
even Allen Robinson - I hear he looks great for his ADP

I'd like to get some Lockett & Boyd shares this year, too.

Same here, they're just after the guys I have listed above (before the "later" guys)

Josh Jacobs Miles Sanders. Sleepers James Washington
Who would you take out of the following
pjcas18 : 8/23/2019 4:49 pm : link
PPR league (with Thomas and Chubb as keepers)

JuJu
D. Cook
Damien Williams
AB

and then who would you take next:

TY
Fournette
Derrick Henry
K. Allen

if you came away with JuJu and Fournette or Henry would you be happy with a core 4 of:

RB: Chubb
RB: Fournette/Henry
WR: Thomas
WR; JuJu

I'm not as high on henry as you are... I would probably take Cook/Allen and make sure to grab Mattison in case Cook gets hurt
Allen scares me
pjcas18 : 8/23/2019 5:20 pm : link
he's already hurt and even if it's minor he'll be hurt again eventually.

I love Mike Williams in SD this year, and if I can get him in the 4th I'd be thrilled (keeper league so I doubt he makes it to me in the 4th. His ADP is 5.07)

Ya. The injury concern is definitely there. Healthy though Allen is a top 5 WR and can win you weeks. As a WR2 I personally would gamble on it since you can find an average level wr on waivers if need be
