The average exit velocity against Edwin Diaz in August is 82.5 mph, the lowest it’s been all season.
Hitters are also averaging a 5 degree launch angle against Diaz this month, also a season low.

deGrom is a good hitting pitcher so not sure why we didn't earn that run. Its not like it was a cheap run or something. We did have runners on third multiple times in a tie game and Conforto was up with a runner on third with one out. So that's where that comes from.

Sadly the Braves games have now become meaningless. Any thoughts of going on a run and catching them in September are dead so losing is the same as it would be against any other non division team going forward IMO.
Our only concern now is the wild card contenders and losing tomorrow... as badly as it will suck... we'll still be within a couple games most likely with a ton of games left.
