Everything else aside, how crazy is it a Ben MacAdoo led team won 11 games and had the 2nd best defense in the NFL just 2 full seasons ago. That's the weirdest blip this decade.

It's amazing what a smothering defense can do, mixed with an offense that doesn't turn it over too much. But, that is a tough way to win these days. The room for error is slim, also does the lack of offensive production wear on the defense which could eventually cause them to have a "whatever" type of attitude.

pjcas18 is the best hockey poster, no one else is even close. another fine example of Connecticut hockey. actually always a pretty good poster on everything.
Britt in VA is the staunchest and most rational Eli defender. Not always an easy needle to thread.

If you look at that 2016 defense 9 out of 11 starters are still in the NFL -- only Shepard and Casillas won't open this year on an NFL roster.
In retrospect it's extraordinary the Giants only got 1 good year out of that group.
