TWO Weeks Left in BBI Contribution Campaign - Please Help Out!

Eric from BBI : Admin : 9/1/2019 1:29 pm
Time is moving fast and the end of the annual BBI contribution campaign is nigh! (Cue the Belsnickel reference).

I want to thank EVERYONE who has already donated. I continue to be amazed at the core group of BBI readers who support the site EVERY year... so often that I recognize them by name now. (The people in this group know who they are and you are hereby ordered to live forever!)

If you have not yet contributed and wish to do so, your time is running out. Please donate soon if you can. (If money is tight, don't).

Again, thank you all for your support! When I do have a valid e-mail address, I send all contributors thank-you messages.

2019 Big Blue Interactive Contribution Campaign Details - ( New Window )
Hey Eric

I have been enjoying reading this site since I found it, I think in 2000, I have never contributed $ but I feel like I can do something now. What is a decent offering, and how do I send? Thanks, Michael
Wouldn’t mind seeing a breakdown of average contributions per person

I have been giving $50 per yr. figure that’s gotta be somewhere around an average
If it’s too low I would kick in more
Always been worth it to me

I haven't figured out averages. Some people pay more, some less. I've gotten donations as low as 2 cents (the meaning not being lost on me).

I suppose I could look into next year, but since PayPal allows credit card use without setting up an account, I'm not sure what the upside is?

Never got the e-mail for whatever reason but I'm glad you received the check. Thanks again for this great site. I check in here at least 5 times a day.

Thanks for everything
admit, the paypal was actually pretty easy
V.I.G. : 9/12/2019 10:27 am : link
for next year, i don't think Venmo charges the transaction fee so may be better
With Venmo you can only receive 5k a week (rolling)
Joey from GlenCove : 9/15/2019 10:00 am : link
so it could be an option but it may be limited.

i will say its the easiest way to send and receive funds. no fees if you use your bank account.
Venmo

Is owned by PayPal. I’m pretty sure Eric could enable accepting Venmo payments from within his PayPal account. Might be a good idea to expand his reach.

But he’s not going to save any money doing so. User to user transfers are free. But as a business, Eric would get charged the same transaction fees PayPal charges.
