19-13 Cowboys

I expect a sloppy game by both teams, but they're just more talented and more experienced than the Giants right now.
Pain. Suffering. Agony.
Mike from SI : 9/6/2019 10:17 am : link
Probably going to abandon my "drink less during the games" mini-resolution by quarter 2. I think their offense is going to steamroll us. Our offense will look ok but it won't be enough. I guess I'm just hoping for some cool Saquon plays, Eli to look good, and the young players to demonstrate improvement.
I went to this game the last two years
johnnyb : 9/6/2019 10:18 am : link
and decided not to witness another disappointing effort.

Yes, the Giants are improved, especially across the O Line, but I agree with many of the posts above that our defense will tire as the game goes on.

Cowboys 27- 20.
DAL 44 NYG 34
Metnut : 9/6/2019 10:22 am : link
Think our offense surprises people and looks really good. Engrem shreds Dallas and Barkley has a few big plays. Sadly, it goes for naught as the Dallas OL has their way with us and our defense offers little resistance.
When I was younger and new to watching football
Mike from SI : 9/6/2019 10:22 am : link
I think this was the early 90s, the Giants had a big game against DAL where they were retiring either LT or Simms' number or putting them in the ring of honor or something like that. What the Cowboys did to us that game probably caused young me to wait another year or two before falling in love with football. I dread a similar performance.
Defense, OL, Eli make a statement.
Lines of Scrimmage : 9/6/2019 10:23 am : link
Pat Shurmur wins a big game and the NFC East is put on notice......Giants are not going to be a easy out anymore.

27-17

Sorry should have said mid 90s.
could be ugly

Eli sacked 4 times, fumble, 1 INT.

Cowboys 31-13

'95 season opener @ Giants Stadium. Dallas won 35-0. Bad memories...
34-17 Cowboys.
bceagle05 : 9/6/2019 10:29 am : link
Tough Week 1 matchup - Dallas should hit the ground running with mostly the same coaching staff and roster from the previous couple of years. We'll have a competitive year, but I see a rough first game.

27-23 good guys
Ron Johnson : 9/6/2019 10:35 am : link
they have better personnel overall but we have the best player on the field and he'll be the difference. 26!

aha the "closing the gap" 35-0 embarrassment

Cowboys 34
Giants 13
we usually shit the bed in dallas
Paulie Walnuts : 9/6/2019 10:38 am : link
I am hoping we stay in this one... if I had to bet the house, it would be on Dallas.. their front 7 is tough
Cowboys
AcidTest : 9/6/2019 10:40 am : link
30 - Giants 13.

Their OL will be the difference. Zak will have more than enough time to throw, and will be doing so against a largely inexperienced secondary that has never played together. Zeke will have plenty of room to run for the same reason.
This thread may seem depressing
Eli2020 : 9/6/2019 10:44 am : link
But at least we're being realistic.
Dal - 28 NYG - 17
Jim in Forest Hills : 9/6/2019 10:51 am : link
NYG's defense isn't able to slow down DAL OL and they control the clock. DAL LBs are built to deal with Engram matchupwise. Saquon still gets 100 yds and a score.
Playa's only!

Cowboys - 27 Giants 17

Giants play a solid first half - down by 3 at halftime but the Cowboy tsunami wears the Giants (not ready for prime time)defense down.

Eli looks good, SB has a better(80 on the ground, 30 air) game then Zeke (60 ground, 15 air).

If nothing else Giants are not embarrassed.

Giants win with ball control.... 26 -21
KingBlue : 9/6/2019 11:27 am : link
We finally have a competent OL that allows us to control the game with Saquan doing the heavy lifting. Eli takes advantage by spreading the rock with a renaissance play action performance.

Rosas' leg provides the margin of victory late.
Keeping it real !
LeftHook : 9/6/2019 11:38 am : link
I think we lose this one. Just looking for some positives out our young D players. And the OLine....
38 - 20

+1 with the score with the caveat that Saquon gets 100 yards between rushing and receiving.
Hate predicting losses
Marty866b : 9/6/2019 11:52 am : link
But I don't see us winning this one. Dallas 24-10.
I predict that the Giants
Ryan in Albany : 9/6/2019 11:56 am : link
somehow pull off the W and shock the world.
Giants 24-17

Basic. But I think we win.
Giants win 21-20. Saquon keeps the ball away from

Giants win

Saquon with 100 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving and 2 TDs

Eli with 300 yards and 2 TDs

-Defense causes 2 turnovers
Cowboys 30 Giants 20
Essex : 9/6/2019 12:44 pm : link
our defense just will not get the job done, especially against a Oline that will probably protect Dak with no issues. I think our offense will be improved this year (or continue the pattern from the last half of last year), I just don't think our defense will be much improved. Hope I am wrong.
I don't think our defense is ready to stop such a good offense...yet
Torrag : 9/6/2019 12:55 pm : link
We lose 34-27
fuck this all.. giants 30- cowboys 21

I say the Giants lose in a frustrating game to watch.
Cowgirls 19-13.

Saquon gets bottled up except for 1 long run.
19 carries-93yds

Eli throws 1 pick off the hands of Latimer
20-33 for 228 yards 1 TD 1 INT

Baker gets 1st career pick and then fumbles it away on attempted return.

Cowboys O-Line and D dominate the game. Huge time of possession advantage for Dallas.
Cowboys 28 Giants 20
AcesUp : 9/6/2019 1:12 pm : link
Close through most of the game but the defense gives up backbreaking 7+ minute TD drive midway through the 4th quarter.
Cowboys 27 Giants 23
The Turk : 9/6/2019 1:19 pm : link
but not as close as that score seems

Our D can't run with the big dogs yet.

Feel suddenly bullish on the Giants in this game
fanofthejets : 9/6/2019 4:16 pm : link
Feel like Eli is going to have a big game out of nowhere. Dallas will commit a bunch of self inflicted errors.

Giants 26 Cowboys 18
Prescott has been a fairly

Q v2.0 : 9/6/2019 7:49 pm : link
By quarters.

Giants: TD, FG, FG TD, FG FG
The Jones Boys: TD, FG, TD, FG

A little optimism goes a long way, fellars. Go Giants!
Dallas 38-14
John In CO : 9/6/2019 7:53 pm : link
Watching those defenses last night makes it painfully clear how far away the Giants are from having a top level NFL defense. Hopefully things will improve as the season progresses.
Giants- 34
Motley Two : 9/6/2019 8:18 pm : link
Cowboys- 20

Eli- Throws 3 TDs
Barkley- 2 TDs (1 rushing, 1 receiving)
Giants Youngsters- 2 Ints & Fumble recovery
...

Barkley goes wild behind Zeitler and Remmers. 17-14 Giants.
sloppy games will be the norn for all week 1 games
CGiants07 : 9/6/2019 9:47 pm : link
so ill say 21-20 giants
What a bunch of pessimistic fans
Dr. D : 9/6/2019 9:49 pm : link
We only lost to them by 7 the first time we played them last year. We are a MUCH better team than we were in September of last year.

We lost to them by 1 in a high scoring game at the end of the season. I think we're a better team than we were then.

I predict Barkley, Eli and Engram have big games and the OL and D play well enough for a W.

28-27 Gmen!

Giants 45
bradshaw44 : 9/6/2019 9:50 pm : link
Cowboys 32

Eli goes berserk. 4 TDs. 378 yds

Barkley 2 TDs. 119 yds. 3 rec for 72 yds.

Eli begins his 3rd super bowl run. Talking heads dismiss as the sun shining on a dogs ass
I just noticed the posts right before mine aren't pessimistic
Dr. D : 9/6/2019 9:52 pm : link
It seemed like the majority of earlier posts were predicting a big L.
