Dallas 30 - Giants 24

Shepard feasts on the Cowboys secondary with over 100 yards and a touchdown, Barkley does his thing, Giants front 7 keep Dallas under 100 yards rushing and force a couple turnovers.

. But not a complete shitshow like prior week 1 games.

To do his Playas thread. One of my favorites during the season

Giants play strong in the first half but the defense wears down in the 2nd half.
Offense can move the ball, keeps the defense on the field forever.

Witten 1 TD; Zeke runs for 75-80 yards and a score
Eli with 1 TD and 1 int.

Giants 20

Giants keep it within 1 TD for 3 quarters (say 21-13) but the Giants D wears down late because they are unable to get off the field on third down. Offense scores a TD late to make it look closer than it is and fail to convert 2 point conversion to get within 10.

Refs always screw Giants in Dallas and Cowboys will win on final drive because defense can't make that crucial stop. I hope I am wrong because I hate Boys very much.

Especially NFL pundits who are predicting how bad we will be.

The game is never really in doubt, Giants 35 Dallas 10. We get to see Jones for the whole 4th quarter as he hands the ball off to Gallman and Perkins for the rest of the game.

We can't stop em, we can't score. Their LBs beast on us, they stack the box and stuff Barkley. Shepard can't get separation and the offense just sputters.

I think this one has a chance to get ugly and that sucks.
I don't remember ever feeling this down on an opening game. They said, I will be rooting my fucking ass off but I just think this defense is way to untested and raw to compete in Dallas. If the defense surprises, this will be a tight game.

Pain of the score or pain from an injury or pain of watching elliot feed himself..or pain of commercials..

I actually think they don't wear down like we're accustomed to. That being said...24-21 Dallas.

Eli leaves some opportunities on the field, defense plays well, but is still raw, Saquon gets a 130 with 2 TDs.

But unlike previous Week 1's, we leave this game with a sign of hope and the back-of-the-head thinking "What if Daniel Jones was the starter?"

Everyone focuses on Zeke's lack of practice time, and Cowboy turnovers, and completely ignore the fact the Giants went into Dallas and won. I the ESPN weekly power rankings the Cowboys move up 2 slots and the Giants drop 4

I think we'll put up a better fight than people expect. I just don't think our defense is going to be able to get the big stop. I'm preparing myself for a lot of agonizing 3rd down conversions to an open Witten in the middle of the field.

Obviously I'm hoping for a much different outcome.

I expect a sloppy game by both teams, but they're just more talented and more experienced than the Giants right now.

Probably going to abandon my "drink less during the games" mini-resolution by quarter 2. I think their offense is going to steamroll us. Our offense will look ok but it won't be enough. I guess I'm just hoping for some cool Saquon plays, Eli to look good, and the young players to demonstrate improvement.

Yes, the Giants are improved, especially across the O Line, but I agree with many of the posts above that our defense will tire as the game goes on.

Think our offense surprises people and looks really good. Engrem shreds Dallas and Barkley has a few big plays. Sadly, it goes for naught as the Dallas OL has their way with us and our defense offers little resistance.

Pat Shurmur wins a big game and the NFC East is put on notice......Giants are not going to be a easy out anymore.

Tough Week 1 matchup - Dallas should hit the ground running with mostly the same coaching staff and roster from the previous couple of years. We'll have a competitive year, but I see a rough first game.

Their OL will be the difference. Zak will have more than enough time to throw, and will be doing so against a largely inexperienced secondary that has never played together. Zeke will have plenty of room to run for the same reason.

But at least we're being realistic.

NYG's defense isn't able to slow down DAL OL and they control the clock. DAL LBs are built to deal with Engram matchupwise. Saquon still gets 100 yds and a score.

Cowboys - 27 Giants 17

Giants play a solid first half - down by 3 at halftime but the Cowboy tsunami wears the Giants (not ready for prime time)defense down.

Eli looks good, SB has a better(80 on the ground, 30 air) game then Zeke (60 ground, 15 air).

If nothing else Giants are not embarrassed.

We finally have a competent OL that allows us to control the game with Saquan doing the heavy lifting. Eli takes advantage by spreading the rock with a renaissance play action performance.

Rosas' leg provides the margin of victory late.

I think we lose this one. Just looking for some positives out our young D players. And the OLine....

+1 with the score with the caveat that Saquon gets 100 yards between rushing and receiving.

our defense just will not get the job done, especially against a Oline that will probably protect Dak with no issues. I think our offense will be improved this year (or continue the pattern from the last half of last year), I just don't think our defense will be much improved. Hope I am wrong.

Cowboys O-Line and D dominate the game. Huge time of possession advantage for Dallas.

Close through most of the game but the defense gives up backbreaking 7+ minute TD drive midway through the 4th quarter.

Feel like Eli is going to have a big game out of nowhere. Dallas will commit a bunch of self inflicted errors.

My prediction: I will be hoping he continues to follow that trend.

A little optimism goes a long way, fellars. Go Giants!

Watching those defenses last night makes it painfully clear how far away the Giants are from having a top level NFL defense. Hopefully things will improve as the season progresses.

We only lost to them by 7 the first time we played them last year. We are a MUCH better team than we were in September of last year.

We lost to them by 1 in a high scoring game at the end of the season. I think we're a better team than we were then.

I predict Barkley, Eli and Engram have big games and the OL and D play well enough for a W.
