I don't think some of you get how good Army is. This isn't like when Todd Berry was the top guy in West Point. They won 10 plus games in '17 & '18. They took the Sooners to OT last year in Norman. Army is a good football team.

They are good. Their other loss last year was to Duke and Daniel Jones, 34-14 in the season-opener in Durham. A healthy Jones was 13 - 17 for 197 yds. and 1 TD. He also ran for 43 yards and a TD. His TD toss carried 56-yards (in the air). Guess the armchair "arm-strength" gurus missed that one.
Cutcliffe, having to play Georgia Tech's offense every year, had his defense ready to stop the triple option. They forced Army to put the ball in the air. While the Black Knights had some success doing it, they had trouble putting the ball in the end zone.
survives with a late strip sack fumble recovery in double overtime.
Army blew it! They should have beat Michigan on the road. It would’ve been a huge upset and a huge win for Army. It’s a shame, but they took them to double OT.
what a day huh? Just watched it on tape as my son had a travel baseball DH today. Holy shit, I don't know if any team in the B1G has more speed at the skill positions. Now that they have a good QB in JJ they have a chance to have a really nice season. We'll see how the D holds up but it seems like Locks really made the best out of his few years wit Saban. McFarland is a serious talent at RB. That guy will be playing on Sundays.
If FSU loses this game, is Taggart gone by Monday? Â

Maryland opens their Big Ten schedule with Penn State at home. I’d love to see Penn State get crushed.
finally has a QB who can throw the ball. They could be tought this year. Also, U of Utah, Huntley at QB looked better than last year. Zach Moss is a good RB. Their D was a bit spotty. Have to see if they can hold on at around #13.
On their own 20 down 3 clock running at about 17 seconds when they snap the ball somehow the WR gets behind the D for 65 yes when the young QB had thrown for about 130 all night. No timeouts the some how got the whole team down there set and were able to spike the ball just as they set the chains. They nail the fg, heading to ot now.

Shades of the Minnesota Miracle two years ago against the Saints...in terms of inexplicably getting behind the secondary.
Kudo's to LSU. When Texas cut it o 23-21 and 30-28, I really thought they were going to win it. Burrow kept them in front. That last pass he made, under duress and basically leaning into his OL player was something. Right on the money 20 yards away and the guy runs for a TD.
Will be interesting to see what happens playoff time if 2 of LSU/Bama/Georgia are 1 loss teams.
What's strange is the LSU offense may need to carry the LSU defense this year. They really have some back-end issues to sort out...
I think LSU’s D will come around. LSU has been a very good football program with a lot of talent. The issue has been their ability to throw the ball — that looks resolved.
They just beat a really good team in a hostile environment.
Army is good.
There’s been bigger upsets.

upsets in Years... Army with a chance to destroy Michigan 2019 and the CFB rankings...

One of the implies there are more than just this one..But, At michigan in a prove it year for Harbaugh and this is big..
Oh, but its his oblique thats causing him to suck
It wouldnt have even been the top upset of michigan
I don't think this is too far off.
I see no plus skills at all. At best, a project/developmental guy.
Why Shea continued to hand the ball to #24 on read option plays is beyond me.
On a different note Maryland looked awesome today.
That was a beat down of Syracuse today.
On the contrary, he’s very good at fumbling and handing the ball off when he should keep it.

Jonathan Taylor is the next great Big 10 RB to come out.
Agreed.
Just thinking the same thing. This QB Evans for Louisana-Monroe is a good looking passer.

I think he could be good. He can up big at the end of last season. He also took a beating in their bowl game and it didn't seem to phase him.

Looks terrific. Nice throw and catch their to Justin Jefferson. Who looks like a very interesting WR prospect...

They actually are able to execute a forward pass...
