For me, three interesting games today

GeofromNJ : 9/8/2019 8:39 am
1) Will Eli be successful with an improved offensive line, but with a very average receiving corps?

2) Will Allen outplay Darnold? Looking forward to seeing this game.

3) Will the Pats start out slow or pick up where they left off and give the Browns a leg up by beating the Steelers?
4) Chiefs at Jax

It will be incredibly hot - expected to be feel like temps of 105. There is no shade in that stadium for an early afternoon game. Will be interesting how it affects the players.

Allen added to Jax Defense will be fun to watch. Foles might die. Cam Robinson is still recovering from his ACL. A guy named Will Richardson is getting his first start at LT.
Is our receiving corp average?

Compare to 2008 team, nothing like Plax, we basically have 2 Steve Smiths, and 2008 team had nothing like Engrams and Barkley.

I had a sideline media pass to what was then Alltell stadium from 2001-2003. There were some September games that we brutal. Probably the hottest (and at time most humid field) I've ever experienced. I don't know how they play in those conditions.

The Jags lose, will people still blame Bortles?
Pats always have a bad loss or two early

and some folks get all amped up declaring them dead. Of course, never proves true
When you use the term receiving corps
Giantz_comeback : 9/8/2019 10:23 am : link
I see the need to evaluate every pass catcher that will be utilized. When you factor in Barkley who had 90 catches and Engram who averaged close to 80 yds a game without OBJ last year, I see a passing game that can be a bit better than average even without Tate.

Now the Cowboy D under Marinelli has been very good for the most part the last couple years in shutting us down so it will be a stiff test but I do think we have some weapons.

Lets blame Foles.

He's like Darnold, a qb many slobber over for reasons I can't fathom.

We have 2 Giants' single-season receptions record holders on the current team? I think average is very fair.
Chiefs vs. Jacksonville

certainly a great matchup.

Falcons vs. Vikings is interesting as expectations are high for both.

Steelers vs. Patriots; interesting to see the Pitt offense and new names on defense.
Allen won’t outplay backup QBs

And likely for a long long time. Allen is a wreck.
