Will be on a pitch count today according to Cowboys beat writer Mike Fisher. Fisher also tweeted that the Cowboys will closely monitor Zeke's how he's progressing throughout the game. One more thing is that Taco Charlton will be inactive.
Including both Quinn and Gregory out due to suspension. Some key players out or on snap counts. We come in fairly healthy and most of our players played in the preseason.
Is that they are not taking the Giants very seriously. Sitting guys out, and only using them if needed.
It’s a long season..risking losing guys for the year in week 1 is asinine. On the Giants side, reports are Sam Beal could have played in this game, but he’s shut down for similar reasons.

Huh?
I thought Beal was placed on the "reversible" IR, which automatically shuts him down and makes him inactive for a min to mum of 6 weeks, no?

Yes, beal can and most likely will be taken off IR in week 8. If beal wasn't put on IR it was possible that he could have returned sooner.

I don't think this is about the giants. The inactives and pitch counts would be the same regardless of who they were playing this week.
This is still a division game and the games have been close. You don't take division games lightly
You are right, it's not about NY.
Crawford and Jones were on the PUP all camp except for this last week. Elliott wasn't even at camp. And Lawrence had off season surgery and didn't play a snap in the preseason.
Each player will be assessed on their conditioning which will dictate how many snaps they get.
Week 1 is important being a divisional game, but there are 15 more games(long view).

No offense but that's ridiculous. Division rivals, opening day and you think they don't take the Giants seriously.
It's quite possible, Lawrence said Eli sucks and I'm sure he got that narrative from Dallas media and team. We have been the Cleveland Browns for a while.
Overall, the Cowboys have pretty good depth. Like any team, they have positions where the drop-off from starter to backup is steep, particularly LB, RB, S and above all QB. Elsewhere, they can take some hits and continue to function well.
Charlton not dressing would be pretty telling, though. Everything points to him being done in Dallas. 🌮🚽
Watch that “pitch count” go right out the window. Maybe they aren’t overlooking us per se but I don’t think they are taking us as seriously as say Philly and to be honest until proven otherwise why should they.
that DL is weak. Our OL should be able to give Eli plenty of time to throw.
I'm actually expecting this game to have quite a few points scored unlike the early season games in Dallas in the last 3 years (The average point total in those games has been 31.3)

I believe all of them were recovering from injuries during entire preseason, the pitch count may apply if they are expecting Dallas to play with a lead. If it’s tight I’m sure it will be all hands on deck.
