Doesn't matter today of course atm just amazing how bad he's been at something that are relatively easier throws
That one to SB, the should have been wheel route he chucked at his leg, the screen a drive or 2 ago w/ SB behind the LOS. Hell even that SB catch right there...
I'm sure I'll still get killed for saying it but it's long been the case
The big question is whether the Giants have the right GM to draft right and manage the cap appropriately and the coach to lead the team out of the wilderness.
I don’t see it.
Both hires where extremely conservative and it’s unclear whether either guys can rebuild this team appropriately. Clearly, DG has thus far build a horrendous defense and Shurmur’s play calling is uninspired.
Yeah yeah defense sucks blah blah blah but if you think Eli has played well or even average today watch some more NFL games and see what a QB who throws the ball down the field and/or can actually move can do

Going to be a long season.
Right now, Barkley should be out of the game and Jones should be in. I don't understand Shurmur's thinking.
You’re out to lunch if you think this game is a reflection of anyone on offense.
How much football have you watched in your life to not comprehend that both the offense and defense can suck in the same game?
Shit, if you'd never watched a game this one alone should have given you that lesson.
Yep exactly, really stupid take by that guy not to blame the offense. Both units stunk today and that's why its 35-10. If it was 35-24 or something like that, then you could make a claim like that
Indeed. If you weren't going to play Barkley when the game was in doubt, don't waste him now. Save him for next week.
I don't like Shurmur's decision making here.
I understand what you are saying and get your point. However, a coach cannot tell his team to play a full four quarters and to never give up... then bench his best player signalling that he has given up.
We have spoken about how players have quit on the team in the 4th qtr in prior years. Remember? We cannot have that poison reoccur.
RE: RE: RE: 3rd and 17 and Eli continues to check down Â
You’re down 35-10. What the fuck. Is your arm THAT shot?
Do you know what a check down is and why it happens? You know... when the defense takes away the deeper WRs and leaves you with the check down options?
He forces the ball down field, it gets picked off... and then Eli sucks again right?
+ 10
Since it’s never Eli’s fault why the offense can’t score more WTF is he on the team. Sick of Eli Manning is above criticism shit.
My mind is actually pretty changed on Manning. I thought he was just functional, but he looks pretty ok to good.
Too bad it's going to end like this, on an obviously outmatched team. This team needs a lot of time and help.
The best favor anyone could do Manning would be to trade him to Jax at this point. A contender, with enough on offense for him to produce and a defense capable of holding leads.
Here, he's going to be in the middle of a shitstorm almost entirely not of his doing (he's overpaid relative to his performance, but not much he can do about that).
I'd rather see the guy go and possibly win another one somewhere else than watch what I think is coming, an ugly losing campaign that he won't be able to prevent.
As most about Barkley’s lack of touches. On the 3rd and 4th and short in the red zone yeah that was a bad call not to use him, but in general it seems more like he’s not being used because 1) the offense can’t convert a 3rd and manageable all day and 2) we’ve got dig into a 2 TD deficit hole in the first half.
Just because he’s averaging 10 yards per touch doesn’t mean you give it to him 10 more times and he automatically gets you another 100 yards. If you give it to him every single play the defense starts to catch on, not to mention you’re not going to pick up first downs running the ball on 3rd and medium. Barkley can’t do it all himself and Just giving him the ball another 10 times would not have come anywhere close to winning us this game.
but I really think not having Golden Tate is killing us, our defense can't make a play, and the officiating has been...slanted. I don't think we're as bad as some people are saying, at least on the offense side of the ball.

meanwhile.. just a few min left in the game and down 25. I suppose I could get behind that.

I'm not sure about DG yet. He does seem to draft well.
It's still too premature to declare his picks outside of Barkley will be above average NFL starters, but it seems as though quite a few will be.
He just vacillates too much between "we are good enough to win now" and "this will take time, we're building a winning team" thing.
Dallas is a legitimate SB contender. We have no pass rush. We also have a lot of rookies in the secondary. Eli is also largely immobile.
That one to SB, the should have been wheel route he chucked at his leg, the screen a drive or 2 ago w/ SB behind the LOS. Hell even that SB catch right there...

We know the defense is bad but what Eli’s excuse now. Smh. He can’t average more than a TD per game.
(8:37) (Shotgun) E.Manning pass short middle to S.Barkley to NYG 22 for 1 yard (L.Vander Esch).
BS, this offense has had ample opportunities to make it a game and failed miserably, I’d say 60/40 on the D.
10 points isn’t going to win many games in any league.
Any good DE coming out?
I don’t see it.

Yep.
I know we're out talented but the coaching has left a hell of a lot to be desired. On both sides of the ball.

With 10 left in the 4th, has a PERFECT QB rating.

Where does he throw with the ends in his face?

Miami has probably already clinched the 1st pick in the draft. We'll probably pick top 5.
Agree I would take Barkley out this game is over .
Why get him hurt trying to make something out
of nothing .

Putting Jones in is probably a "group decision" with Mara.

assume people are sniping because they are understandably frustrated. This game is 90% on the defense.

Yep, people just finding ways not to blame Eli. Pitiful. Awful football all around

We’ll need another good draft to make this Defense more competitive

Our future with Jones is now.
