Exactly why it’s valuable for him to get some burn this season, even in garbage time of a game like this. Experience in those situations...hopefully helps him learn not to do it again
8 in 2017 lost 4
5 in 2018 lost 4
He needs to work on cleaning this up going forward.
Ya he had some TOs (picks were worse actually). But this singular comp to Darnold people make, as if a) he's the comp to make, and b) it matter what ONE other player does...
Duke tape showed this, he also needed to improve his decision-making as related. But not something to freak out about in game 1 / rookie year etc. Even Darnold could be a TO machine now yr 2 and you'd still have to give him time...

Darnold had 9 fumbles and lost 5 in 2017, and in 2018 12 fumbles and lost 9.
Eli averages 8 fumbles a year.
He will be fine

He's had 1 game's worth of snaps and fumbled the ball 4 times. I don't think it's overblowned at all. It's easily correctable though.
Somebody has watched the movie "The Program" one too many times.
Still, it's one play and he should be able to correct this.
