Had just caught a local news channel special called "Loserville" where they took an extra 30 min after the regular news to lament how shitty all their 4 major teams were
Since then all of them have won AT LEAST 1 ring. And the Pats possibly the greatest dynasty of all time (certainly in the NFL), Sox perennial contenders more or less...GOD MFing DAMNIT
Only plus is 18-1 and that other one...lol
Was surprised to see how much Pit struggles in NE Â
They just don’t ever beat themselves, they do everything right, they exploit every weakness of their opponents. They’re just so freaking well coached. Hoodie’s obviously the NFL GOAT coach. At what point do we say GOAT coach of any sport ever?
he's just a "system qb". Lol. Say what you will but an incredible athlete and career. And still going strong
IMO regardless of labels, BB did develop him perfectly, and continues to put him in the best positions to succeed. As much as he is plenty great, would he have been THIS guy without BB? If he was on David Carr's Houston Texans would we even know his name? Or even if Bledsoe just gets hurt a little later and they don't make the playoffs - or just lose b4 the SB...is he inherently the NE starter next yr? Also what does it mean that Matt Cassell has an 11-5 yr, or Jacoby Brissett succeeds?
IMO it's way more BB. In fact, if David Carr was drafted by NE how does his career story change? I mean, he was a WAY bigger prospect than TB fwiw (as was Eli among many others)...
Other than Giants-Cowboys there isn't a matchup I'm more sick of Â
with the "Bill Bellechick" explanation for Brady's career. Sure BB has Alot to do with the TEAM being successful and the players that surround him, but BB does not call the offensive plays and BB has little to do with his athletic conditioning and football smarts. It's ok to be a giant fan and give Tom Brady a little credit. Really.
RE: Are Steelers fans going to give Big Ben as much crap Â

I assume you mean my post, but I didn't downplay TB's greatness, esp on that level. No HC has much to do with conditioning, so what? Just because BB is masterful at running a team doesn't mean it's some dig at TB (esp when I said how great he is even so)
Fact is, if he didn't have so much early success, would we even know him as we do? And while that's a lot his own work keeping in shape etc, it's still probably more BB...esp the 1st 3 rings
And the fact he's had Cassel have as good a season for a team (randomly not making the playoffs...so would they have won that yr?)...seriously. That guy has done SHIT anywhere else...that is not something that can be ignored
Brady is great. But I'd bet my left nut on BB if I had to pick one or the other. It's not even close really
And I admit, BB has had a ton of great circumstances too... Â
Not directed at your post or any in particular. I just feel as a "Football Fan" so many people seem to be reluctant to give credit to players on other teams, especially the players on successful franchises. I give credit where credit is due regardless if they are Giants players or not. What Tom Brady has accomplished in his career and his longevity in the sport playing at a high level is truly remarkable.
but IMO when they blow coaches for 'taking away the number 1 option' I kinda wonder. Isn't that the damn job as a coach? I mean, on occasion you let the #1 do whatever but shut out the rest...but otherwise isn't the appropriate strategy to take away option 1, then 2, then as many as there are? Make the O make a decision first and foremost (like stopping the ball on D in basketball), then make him go to the NEXT / lesser option...classic 'make someone else beat you'
I say that & realize sometimes it's just a talent issue, but I don't care the sport, isn't that almost a fundamental strategy? As a sports fan, I've seen too many Ds do something else, but I can't for the life of me figure it out strategically. I know sometimes it's just shitty defensive IQ, but I don't get it
I asked about it earlier I think for a different game... Â
but there's another pick play that this time gets called...while the one I mentioned in the prior game (CLE-TEN?) was a blatant wipeout / block but completely uncalled and even complimented by the announcers
Really silly how inconsistent that call is. And IMO most teams should be using it more if that's how they call it...(tho I'm well aware there's plenty of bias calls like that one...they'd never miss it for NE! If it were us vs DAL today, they'd be just as picky I'm sure)

Come on...Ben has been a top QB as recently as last year, even if you don't love him. Eli, nothing much since 2011, weak OL / team or not
Belichick is the greatest American pro sports coach of all time. I don't see how it's debatable.

So we might give the nod to Kraft at least knowing enough to stay out of it once things started rolling...if that wasn't his plan early on
Still, BB over TB. No doubt, not much of a decision for me
Giants were very fortunate to have lil bill at DC and that coaching staff of the 80s
But we wouldn't know his name esp the way his career started as 199 pick etc, if BB hadn't made esp that first yr happen, if not the many early years
No doubt BB's success is tied to having TB as well, but chicken or egg? It's BB no doubt

Make a statement
Only difference is one was going up against Dan Prescott and one was going against the GOAT.
Make a statement
So you're NOT watching but still posting comments and judging us about it? (week 1 no less)
Make a statement - don't post here. smh. lol.
Up 13 w/ DWatson for my opponent the last player...
