Dallas has a really good team

CMicks3110 : 9/8/2019 11:56 pm
I thought this before the season and if you look at their roster. Despite some saying they are good not great, I really think they could be a potentially great team.

They have a franchise QB--Yes Dak is the goods
They have a franchise RB--Yes Zeke is the goods
They have multiple Pro-Bowlers on their O-Line--Yes they are that good
They have a hall of fame tight end, and depth at that position - Yes
They have 3-4 very good wide receivers and a potential - Cooper, Gallup, Cobb, Austin is well above average foursome

They have an elite edge rusher - Lawrence
They have elite LBs - Vander Esch and Smith are elite
They have two pro-bowl level CBs - Yes Jones and Awuzie are very good

I'm sorry, but I think they are more than good. I don't see a real weakness to their team. Maybe Safety and interior DL, but beyond that, I just see a really complete team that i think has a good shot at a super bowl run.

Plus I think they also have some damn good coaching.

We have a lot of work to do no doubt, but I do think we should respect how talented Dallas is this year.
That's nice

Who gives a shit!
Agree 100%

And everyone laughing at them because they will have to pay Dak are just being delusional. This is his 4th year in the league, he has gotten better every single year, and he will be a thorn in the Giants side for a long time. Cowboy nation crowned him prematurely, but he is way more than just a game manager now.
I agree...

They are a very attractive team. If a team like this stay's healthy, they are likely in the mix for some big things.

Specifically at WR, if Gallup continues to improve, Cobb, who was a terrific signing, stays healthy, and Cooper is, well, Cooper, Dak is going to have a highly productive year...

Solid team and that sucks.

BTW, Pittsburgh played really well at New England tonight...
Until they lose a few games

And look very average. We have a way of making teams look great. Sorry, but it's true.
Yeah, I wish the cowturds lot so of luck...ALL BAD!

Well they have a better team than the Giants.

Can't see them going all the way though.
So Did Their 2007
Trainmaster : 9/9/2019 12:28 am : link
And the 2007 Giants looked terrible for the first 11 quarters of the season.

We know how that turned out. :-)
Well like this made me feel better....

Thanks seriously. Already knew that. The thing that still bothers me most is why the Giants are not in the same situation?! They could have been! This whole Giants Org has fucked up this team ever since coach Coughlin left! Drafting has been horrible, free agent signings have been horrible, and contract management has been horrible! What has the Giants Org done right?!? I really think the Giants hire all their buddies which think just like they do, instead of hiring someone that will come and here and say, I'm fucking taking over, everyone is fired, and things are changing!

is avg at best. watch him against vs a nfl level defense.
Breeze_94 : 9/9/2019 1:28 am : link
no one expected the Giants to win this game and turns out they were right.

Alot of young players playing significant roles against a very talented team who has had a core in tact for a few years now. Plus the game was in Dallas.

Tough draw week 1 of the season.

Why is it that the NFL puts the Giants on the road in Dallas week 1 every single year? Almost seems unfair.
Well, if they play the Giants every week, they will.
George from PA : 9/9/2019 3:19 am : link
Zek had 54 yards, less then SB had on one play.

And Dak threw TDs passes any of us could have thrown.

Their OL is dominent and their defens3 is very quick.

We are in year 2
Paulie Walnuts : 9/9/2019 6:56 am : link
Of a multi year rebuild.. the poor reese drafts are still hurting this team.. my expectations are zero this year. Its Elis last enjoy that at least the ol is better..
they are a good team
bc4life : 9/9/2019 7:01 am : link
but Giant's coverage was atrocious. Just about any QB in the league could have hit those wide open receivers
The Giants made Dallas look "all world" last night
gidiefor : Mod : 9/9/2019 7:14 am : link
Dallas has a decent team -- but let's see what they look like when they play a team that plays better than the Giants did yesterday before we start giving them soo much admiration.

Most of us watching the Giants closely felt they didn't have a good chance of winning yesterday.
They're a playoff team
Ten Ton Hammer : 9/9/2019 7:16 am : link
They have been for about 3 years. The only thing Dallas has to prove is whether they can win in the postseason.

That said, Last year's Giants team was much more competitive than that shitshow we had to watch.
That graphic they showed

about the 2016 draft was really telling

we have one solid player from that draft (Shep) where they have 7 or 8 starters including the QB, RB and Smith the LB
most were concerned about pass rush
bc4life : 9/9/2019 7:25 am : link
and to a lesser extent coverage with young secondary - concerns more than well founded.

Think Carter will pick it up. XMan will take a while - think Golden may be limited - hopefuly Connelly will see more PT.

Nice catch.....yes, that graphic was eye opening to me too. Three years ago only one of our draft picks is worthwhile, while all of theirs are stars. No wonder they are better. But, DG is in the house now and we have improved greatly the past two years.
They're a good team,
Dave in Hoboken : 9/9/2019 9:20 am : link
but they're not going to dominate their opponents all season long like they did yesterday. They're not unbeatable. The Giants just made them look unbeatable, but they're not.
