I thought this before the season and if you look at their roster. Despite some saying they are good not great, I really think they could be a potentially great team.
They have a franchise QB--Yes Dak is the goods
They have a franchise RB--Yes Zeke is the goods
They have multiple Pro-Bowlers on their O-Line--Yes they are that good
They have a hall of fame tight end, and depth at that position - Yes
They have 3-4 very good wide receivers and a potential - Cooper, Gallup, Cobb, Austin is well above average foursome
They have an elite edge rusher - Lawrence
They have elite LBs - Vander Esch and Smith are elite
They have two pro-bowl level CBs - Yes Jones and Awuzie are very good
I'm sorry, but I think they are more than good. I don't see a real weakness to their team. Maybe Safety and interior DL, but beyond that, I just see a really complete team that i think has a good shot at a super bowl run.
Plus I think they also have some damn good coaching.
We have a lot of work to do no doubt, but I do think we should respect how talented Dallas is this year.
Specifically at WR, if Gallup continues to improve, Cobb, who was a terrific signing, stays healthy, and Cooper is, well, Cooper, Dak is going to have a highly productive year...
BTW, Pittsburgh played really well at New England tonight...
We know how that turned out. :-)
Alot of young players playing significant roles against a very talented team who has had a core in tact for a few years now. Plus the game was in Dallas.
Tough draw week 1 of the season.
Why is it that the NFL puts the Giants on the road in Dallas week 1 every single year? Almost seems unfair.
And Dak threw TDs passes any of us could have thrown.
Their OL is dominent and their defens3 is very quick.
Most of us watching the Giants closely felt they didn't have a good chance of winning yesterday.
That said, Last year's Giants team was much more competitive than that shitshow we had to watch.
we have one solid player from that draft (Shep) where they have 7 or 8 starters including the QB, RB and Smith the LB
Think Carter will pick it up. XMan will take a while - think Golden may be limited - hopefuly Connelly will see more PT.

Nice catch.....yes, that graphic was eye opening to me too. Three years ago only one of our draft picks is worthwhile, while all of theirs are stars. No wonder they are better. But, DG is in the house now and we have improved greatly the past two years.
