then Jones needs to play. Is there merit in waiting until the team is eliminated from the playoff's? I'm having a hard time seeing the benefit. The reward of starting Jones now is getting him maximum experience this season. The Cardinals are starting their rookie already and he held his own. What exactly are the Giants afraid of?

You came into this season reasonably thinking this is a team with playoff aspirations? The first game didn't change my mind one way or another. This is a rebuilding year.

If it looks like a turd, smells like a turd, it’s probably a turd.

Terrible game or not. This team isn't there yet.
I don't understand the Gettleman angst. He has definitely improved the roster, gotten rid of troublemakers. He has had a few gaffs in FAs, but so do all GMs. But his drafting looks very good. Is he a bit pompous? So what.

Did you watch the game?

How has he definitely improved the roster? At least we used to have a pass rush. He’s improved the O-line and drafted Saquon. That’s about it. The secondary is actually worse than it’s ever been. The linebackers remain non existent. And the D-Line is big but not effective. The WRs are a train wreck and the QB situation remains a fucking mess. He has wasted assets and tells everyone he knows better than them. He’s been a disaster.
We need young blood in the front office. The Mara family picnic must end.
I would argue about being the 'best' team in NFC..

Yes -- I would argue this too. The Cowboys took advantage of the Giants weaknesses -- a young and unproven backfield -- and this made them look "all world." Let's ho they look against an a decent backfield before we crown them.
So does the untouchable Manning. Your point?

Then start having conversations like these. It was only one game against arguably the best team in the nfc. Sheesh, what is wrong with you ladies?

Yeah, Rams are good....anyone else?
Why? Did Manning not have time to pass the football yesterday, was he under extreme pressure?
Yet, nearly everyone wants to go through the exercise of playing it out until we are “mathematically eliminated” just to say we checked that box to give Eli a chance. And that apparently will make everyone feel good that we tried. Great. Which ends up wasting valuable time for Jones’s development.
this was funny...
It’s not even worth having the argument. He can still make throws, he can’t make plays. The point here is really what is the fucking point of playing him? His hopeful replacement is on the roster and needs to play. This team stinks in the front office isn’t fooling anybody.
It has been evident for a while
Why are we waiting? When was the last time Manning gave this team 3 or 4 TD’s per game? The Defense is just BAD, but Manning does absolutely nothing on the offensive end that Daniel Jones can’t do tight now. The Rookie needs experience.
Ok well if he does, then Gettleman, Shurmur, Mara (Chris) and the rest of the FO need to be fired and they should get new blood in there.
Eric, are you saying that you want Daniel to start? Not sure I follow the Star Trek reference.
