Larry Fitzgerald and Desean Jackson found the fountain of youth and made a lot of Fantasy teams happy when they got them in the late rounds (although I would bet not a lot of them actually started them).
I think Redskins looked good (even though they were beaten by a more talented squad at the end). They have been drafting well and looked well prepared. Not saying theyre going to the playoffs and even wit their underwhelming re ievers I wouldnt be surprised if they have a better season than us.

I'm sure I missed some.
Point is it's early in the year, none of these teams know who they are yet. Except the Patriots. Belichek is a freak.
with the decision making here, is lets bring in
'Betcher's guys', well lets see Martin, Golden, and now
Bethea....The problem is these guys can't play anymore,
what difference does it make if they are
'Betcher's guys'. In Martin's case, they gave him a pretty good deal too!
The other two, well, you get what you pay for.
Ryan Connelly and Oshane Ximines did each have a TFL.
So as bad as it was it wasn't all bad.
Connelly made a couple plays right? I was looking for snap counts - he looked good. I have to rewatch the game but X man having a tfl is encouraging. Time to get the young guys more time out there.
We are in year 2 of a rebuild.
The Giants felt that Daniel Jones should be the choice at 6.
They drafted defense most of the rest of the way.
They have acquired good fixes to the offensive line.
They are up against the cap ceiling due to Manning and clearing out players that aren't good for the "room"
The players you wanted kept (Collins, Snacks, Apple, OBJ, Goodson) didn't WIN any games either!
2020 is the key year. Cap restraints will be gone, a fresh new draft (most likely top 10)
If you didn't think that before this season began you had rose colored glasses on.
I think one reason many people on BBI were flipping out yesterday (and still some today) is that there were many who had crowned DG as executive of the year; thought that we were ready to compete for a playoff with a better OL; and in general did not recognize the deep weakness on the Giants roster.
Frankly, I am not a big fan of Gettleman but to be fair, he took over a horrendous roster and cap situation. To think he would turn it around after on bad season was just crazy.
It is possible that the Giants are making progress AND that they still are not a good football team.
One more good draft and spending some FA money wisely in the next offseason, and they could be a team in the playoff hunt. No lock, but in the hunt.

NFL is filled with slop. Playing once a week, and the fantasy/betting edge, keeps the league completely interesting.
Look at the schedule every week and the dog games it has. For example, this Thursday Night.
Apple didn't play yet, but will probably win tonight. The team has a lot of dead money because Gettleman traded all of the good defensive players. Maybe the right thing long term, but need to replace those guys with guys that can actually play - so far that remains to be seen.
Is, and will always be a losing head coach. He is d.gs worst decision, among many, many others. Worst scouts in professional football, no pass rushers, no cover capable d backs. And once again, dead last finish in the nfc east, as of today, tied for last place and securely defending their low ground.
Let's see all the idiots overreact and show our tremendous intellegence on BBI. How can I make me feel good instead of thinking how bad and lost this team and organization is. Barkley 11 fucking carries on a day keeping the defense off the the field was the only hope. There is no overreaction, Pat Shurmur is clueless and was a horrible hire, maybe Gettleman too if he does nothing.
Everybody knows things are bad. Its a depression. Everybodys out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickels worth. Banks are going bust. Shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and theres nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and theres no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today the Giants opened IN DALLAS and got their asses handed to them AGAIN as if thats the way its supposed to be.
We know things are bad worse than bad. Theyre crazy. Its like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we dont go out anymore. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is: Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials and I wont say anything. Just leave us alone.
Well, Im not gonna leave you alone. I want you to get MAD! I dont want you to protest. I dont want you to riot I dont want you to write to your congressman, because I wouldnt know what to tell you to write. I dont know what to do about the play calling and bad defense and depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first youve got to get mad. (shouting) Youve got to say: Im a human being, god-dammit! My life has value!
So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell: Im as mad as hell, and Im not gonna take this anymore!
I want you to get up right now. Sit up. Go to your windows. Open them and stick your head out and yell Im as mad as hell and Im not gonna take this anymore! Things have got to change. But first, youve gotta get mad!Youve got to say, Im as mad as hell, and Im not gonna take this anymore! Then well figure out what to do about the play calls and bad defense and depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first, get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: Im as mad as hell, and Im not gonna take this anymore!
Im feeling patient despite the horrific game yesterday.
We all know that theres a huge difference in talent level and experience for these two teams. I didnt expect to win nor did I expect rookie DBs to play like vets.
Dallas also did a great job of isolating our Safety on their Way s. We cant win a matchup of Bethea vs Cooper, for example.
We need a pass rush and even more talent on the OL and at LB, and it will likely take 2 more years to get that. Were no different than a ton of other teams who are rebuilding. It takes time.
Saquon Barkley wastes two prime seasons on a dog of a team.
So as bad as it was it wasn't all bad.

Could even possibly say NFC.

Trade Barkley for a haul of picks and draft TrevLaw.

This is what it feels like to suck year after year - what it was like when I first became a Giant fan back in the Carter years.
So as bad as it was it wasn't all bad.

I started in 1980. This is brutal. Thank god I was in med school during the lost 90's and didn't follow

Not this year though.
What they saw yesterday was a 4-5 win team playing a SB contending team, so why are they bitching today?
We may never get a sack in 2019
Lawrence is not a pass rusher or a DE
Baker is terrible, actually didn't look like the effort was there on some plays
Connelly is a future HOFer...lol
Saquon must have been tired on the 60 yard run, need to rest until the 4th.
Core is a special teams ace...lol

Still say Giants win 7 or 8..................
Watch me on BBI if the 2020 schedule has us opening in Dallas again.

Wait? Now Dallas is a SB contending team? Ok. Good, but, not that good..yet
Watch me on BBI if the 2020 schedule has us opening in Dallas again.
I'd bet all the $$ i have it will be opening week matchup again.
