I’m waiting for my buddy who’s a Cowboys fan to pick the restaurant for our annual dinner wager on their opening game. Baker having a bad one doesn’t make that any more palatable.
Is talking about the Browns is because OBJ was traded there. Them being bad justifies use trading away one the most dynamic players we have ever had.
I think it’s pretty low of many of you to wish I’ll will on the Browns. You sound like Eagles fans. All this talk about being a higher class fan base and we sound like just a bunch of assholes.

shit about the Browns yet, I hope after all if OBJ's bs that he never even sniffs the playoffs.

You're right. Has nothing to do with Beckham completely being a jackass his entire time here. LiL Wayne interviews where he is bashing the team and Eli AFTER being paid. His little GQ article. Acting like a scorned lover. Same with Mayfield thrashing Jones for whatever reason.

just to clear the record. I am actually rooting for the Browns, and i am the OP. When the Giants aren't playing I root for all underdogs pretty much and any team that hasn't won the bowl. I would love to see the Browns win the Super Bowl if the Giants dont win. I could care less about OBJ going there. I just think it is funny that Mayfield had a meltdown because he has a big arrogant mouth. That's it. But hell I am rooting for them to win the AFC, or the Bills, or the Texans, or the Titans, or the Chiefs...
1) He's athletic but the scheme yesterday did not seem to take advantage of ti, lots of throwing from pocket.
2) He held onto the ball too long on several occasions.
Wasn't a great game by him and it got worse as the game wore on. But, I think he will have a very good career - yesterday was just a bad day - it happens.
They were favored at home after their first winning season in a lifetime. Mayfield was being touted as the next great thing and the OBJ trade made headlines all offseason. Their poor play is a legit story and raises far more questions as to how their season will play out as opposed to our loss to Dallas on the road.

Mayfield is athletic but he does most of his work out of the pocket. Yesterday he seemed to force throws and play too fast .. he has to learn a bit more.
Yes, misery loves company. But puttihg that aside, it's still an interesting story.
I kind of want to see the Browns rise up and be a conteding team. The ongoing story is whether you can bring together a bunch of elite drafted players, mostly quite young, and some established stars like Jarvis Landry, OBJ, Kareem Hunt, Olivier Vernon, etc., and mold them into a great team in one season.
Guess there is work to do there -- a telling stat was 18 penalties for 182 yards! Coaching staff, how can that happen?
But looking at the box score and the play chart, the Browns actually took the lead 15-13 with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Their defense then immediately gave up a 75 yard TD pass on the Titan's first play after the kickoff, and it seems like Mayfield started forcing passes after that. Browns next drive - Mayfield pick, Titans ball at the Cleveland 35, TD. Next drive - Mayfield pick, Titans ball at the Cleveland 34, TD. Then, towards the end, a pick six.
It was a close game for 3 quarters before the Browns imploded in the 4th.
So, I am not sure why people on here feel the need to bring up the Giants on a thread about Mayfield.
I also get a kick out of all the people that swore Eli was OBJ's problem, then we see Odell go out and post a very average 7 catches for 71 yards and 0 TDs.
It's almost like the Browns didn't see what caused the Giants demise by basically ignoring the Offensive Line this offseason and assuming that they have enough playmakers to figure it out.
he suffered a concussion during the game and that affected his play. They said if you look at the play were he reportedly hurt his wrist, he appears to be knocked out.

You ready the box score wrong. The Browns TD put them down 2 -- 15-13 Tenn. Mayfield wasn't good at all after the first drive. The safety was his fault and he missed badly on a number of throws he should've made.

Not even close. He wasn't good before the hit and he definitely wasn't concussed. I don't even think his head was touched. Defender's helmet just missed it and his shoulder broke his fall.

And until they fix that oline there will be more games like that. Reminds me of our the past few years
And not rooting against them bc of OBJ (who I was always a fan of, despite it all) but....
Man, Baker really rubs me the wrong way. As much as you can say about Anyone you’ve never met in person, he just seems like a right prick.

I didn't see it. That was just one guy's view who does a FF podcast. Also, all involved would be in some type of trouble if this were trues and not disclosed.
the second half looked like a meltdown to me.. every other pass was an INT.
I like it when we agree on things Greg.
ding ding
TRUE
But it was fun to see someone who just loved talking about a shitty team have a shitty performance
Even go so far as to create a new handle and just start posting random threads on an internet message board.
Yup.

All the talking they did about us.

People can't be happy about anything because the Giants suck? Are you the happiness police?
Umm...they were 7-8-1.
I agree with this. And I'm going to do it, too.

People can do whatever they want, but piling on the Browns when our team is trash? Kind of pathetic if you ask me.
