Zeitler's left shoulder was wrapped in ice after the game. I asked him if he was OK, he just said, "It was a long game." He hasn't missed a snap since Week 13 of the 2015 season, so I'd expect him in the lineup on Sunday
Please stop with all the youth comments. Set the expectations this constant young talk is not good for those players. It is setting them for excuses imo.

Prescott had 32 passing attempts, with no sacks, one “hurry” Dallas training staff noted his game Jersey did not require post game cleaning. Have you ever watched any giants games when Lawrence Taylor played?
What year did you retire from coaching?

Asked Pat Shurmur if he would have handled Saquon Barkley's workload (15 touches) differently after watching the film. He said that is just "sort of how the first half played out" and that the Giants only had 4 possessions with the final one being a 2-min drill.

Shurmur made similar comments last year. When you have a weapon like Barkley, you need to dictate the terms. He's running for 10 (!) yards per carry. Make them stop that before using him as a decoy and going to plans B, C and D

They had the long passes. And the short passes. Don't forget the in-between passes.
I agree 100%. The young players don't need to hear him making excuse for their mistakes. He should be talking about once you're in there you're a pro and expected to execute your job.
He also needs to discover an old football truth. Get the ball in your best players hands until the other team stops you. He's too cute on offense and it hurts us. Force the other squad to adapt to you and then find something on the playsheet to make them pay.

Eli thought the OL did a great job in the first game. It gave him time to get through his progressions and a chance to be successful.
The worst part of the offense yesterday was Pat Shurmur Â
I hope he works out but I have not my doubts. He needs Jones in at QB sooner than later. Eli does not fit this coach’s scheme. Why try and force a square peg into a round hole. Mara should pull the plug on Eli but he won’t because he does not want to hear backlash from Eli diehards.

and I forgot to mention they looked woefully unprepared on defense.
On which plays does he claim there was pressure??? Â
That he wants to play Jones and isn't permitted to.
I was kidding when i said it this morning, but i was talking about the Eli rollout plays and made a comment about him sabotaging him to get Mara to agree to Jones.
I'm starting to think there may be something to it.
already know what they have and saving face. Seriously, Eli at QB with a #1? That is old NFL.
just trying to keep fans coming to stands. fools.
I wonder how the attendance will be sunday? I had tentative plans with a buddy with season tickets to attend and we both came to the conclusion today that we should wait it out a few weeks before committing to a day at the stadium.
Season opener will obviously still be packed but I could imagine the stands emptying out quickly.

no offense to Eli, a big fan, time moves one, but the cap he has absorbed to the demise of this team is overwhelming. This team could be competing right now. unreal.
The loss was far from Eli's fault, but at this point what's the purpose in starting him? It's clearly a full rebuild at this point. The next Giants playoff team will not have Eli Manning behind center, so it's time to move on.
