His HOF chances

decrease with every game he plays
that's so sad...

Two more losses and he will be under .500

Terrible.
Look at the bright side

Had he not been benched for Geno, it would already be at .500!

laughing at the owners.

seriously, this is board-level problem. Right now now reason, please accept a plate of something you will not like.
is 499 really any different than a 500 or 501 winning percentage?

1 I cannot understand why people still insist on attributing W/L to QBs, pitchers, goalies. Such nonsense.

2 Why would anybody care whether Eli is => 0.500 for his career? You should care more about the (sorry) state of the franchise.
i would like to see a comparison
Gordo : 9/9/2019 3:47 pm : link
with other QBs who have had a similar career like eli? and see really if this matters or not.
what is ironic
Gordo : 9/9/2019 3:49 pm : link
is the Manning's forced a trade to NY to prevent Eli's career getting wasted with a poorly run franchise, you could argue that the last 8 years have been a complete waste. It's almost exactly like Archie's career in New Orleans.

Don't think there are too many QB's who have had a "similar" career, but you can look at Jim Plunkett, who won 2 SB's and was an MVP in one. Problem with Plunkett is he didn't really make a name for himself until he got to the Raiders.
and to the point above
figgy2989 : 9/9/2019 3:51 pm : link
Plunkett is NOT in the HOF.
Wins and losses become
jvm52106 : 9/9/2019 4:05 pm : link
significant when you consider that a lot of people had placed a significant amount of blame for those losses on Eli. He just doesn't process things quickly anymore (when pressure comes or perceived pressure) and when he rolls right you know what it will end up looking like.

There is no other way around this, it is time for Jones if we want any chance of making a run in 2020!
nobody cares
mdc1 : 9/9/2019 4:55 pm : link
that and a box of wet wipes for this season. 2 Superbowl winner, they protect that.
Let's bet honest...

the guy's been roughly a league average QB for the majority of his career outside of the two amazing runs in 07 and 11. A few years above league average, a few years below.

everyone knows that, but that is not what the Giants brass are selling. Don't you see it on the field?

If you are a giants fan you should remember that in 2008 they were easily the best team in the league and a SB favorite till the a-hole shot himself. They also beat just about every playoff team and Eli should have had his 3rd SB.
